Sharing Your Raya Moments

 Assalamualaikum everyone.

Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin.

Hari Raya was great, right? We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest after 2 years of not being able to celebrate the occasion due to this Covid19. As for me, all my siblings and son together with their families came back to celebrate and it was really awesome when everybody pulled up their selves and worked their hearts out to prepare for the long-awaited festive moments.

We cooked and ate together, we prepared dishes for the whole family and of course for our honourable guests who came to visit. we went to visit our relatives and friends and ohhhhh it was fun, even though the trips were very tiring, but we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Photos were taken everywhere to be saved as part of our sweetest memories together.

That is a little sharing from me. I will share more from time to time. Do share your moments of Hari Raya here.

Luv and hugs

Madam Mas

It's truly wonderful to be welcomed by a feast when you break your fast during Hari Raya. Some are fortunate enough to be invited by friends, and some even more blessed to be hosting it for the people they value. Admittedly, the occasion can be a huge challenge to set-up, from housecleaning to cooking, and even after-Hari Raya tidying and stain removal. But don't despair because we've got you covered in what could turn out to be an after-holiday sticky situation! You can't always predict when a stain occurs, but you can anticipate your menu, especially for well-loved traditions. A typical feast during Hari Raya Haji would include ketupat, rendang, curry, satay and lontong , all mouth watering dishes that could, unfortunately, leave disastrous stains on your precious holiday linens. For this year , my family back to our village at Perak. But sadly , we celebrate Hari Raya without another family because of covid19 pendamic. The road is full with vehicle , another family have to take more time to back to the village. I felt happy because we can celebrate Hari Raya like 3 years ago with lovely family. Selamat Hari Raya everyone !

After a long time,I finally got the holiday I long awaited for!As a non muslim,I must admit that I didn't have much Raya moments to share.(sorry.) But I fondly remember the day before we return to our homes, which was the first time I wear Baju Melayu and celebrate with my classmates.During the Hari Raya holiday,I went to my nephew house in Penang to celebrate his birthday and as expected, the traffic could only be described by one word-JAM! we trapped in the traffic for a very long time but I would say every cloud has a silver lining,at least I could slowly appreciate the beautiful scenery of Penang, the most memorable scenery was that a group of people gotong-royong to prepare for hari raya celebration.its very meaningful as it represent the unity among Malaysia society.

During the hari raya celebration, my family and I went to my father's village in the morning. The journey took only half an hour to reach our destination. During the journey, we listened to variety of hari raya song using the radio and the moment was very enjoyable. As soon as we arrived , we were welcomed by my grandparents happily. We started our celebration by eating ketupat and rendang with my siblings and cousins. We had a lot of fun while talked to each other. After that , my siblings and I received some money which is 'duit raya' from my uncle and aunty. That was the best part of celebrating hari raya. After that, my family decided to go to photo studio to take our family picture as memory. Than, we went to Al Bukhary Mosque to take some photo of ourselves as the scenery there very beautiful and eye-catching. Next day , we welcomed our guest to our home as we made open house. I invited my friends to come to my house and enjoy my mother's homemade dishes. On that day, it was one of the exciting day as I can meet my friend and celebrate hari raya with them.

Celebrating Hari Raya in this year is truly spectacular and different from usual. To make things more interesting, we were shocked with the news of the date of Hari Raya that was changed to a day earlier. All plans and schedules are had to been changed and canceled. In the eve of Syawal, my family and I were still in a traffic jam. Such a great way to spend the night with our family 😂. We arrived at dawn and just in time to prepare for Hari Raya Prayer. Later that day, we met with a lot of our family member. Somehow, all our fatigue seems to fade away the moment we met them. It's just feel refreshing to see our family member after a long time. This is all from me, thank you. Happy Eid mubarak everyone.

Asalamualaikum everyone....i would like to share my story about the Celebration of Hari Raya last week. I thought that hari raya will be on tuesday but the mufti suddenly announced that the Hari Raya will be on Monday. I was so excited and shocked at the same time because i didnt prepare anything for the upcoming hari raya. My family quickly went out looking for my Baju Melayu and all the things needed for the Hari raya such as rendang, ketupat and lemang. Then after celebrating the first day of hari raya at out own house, my family decided to go back to their hometown, Johor and Pahang. I went to Pahang first for 2 days and then Johor for 3 days. I was so excited to see all my cousins after we havent met for 2 years because of the covid. We shared all stories that we had and talked about our future and also about our education. We also spent our time with our grandmother and help them to make rendang and lemang. Thats all

Hari Raya this year is so unique. People all around the world got scammed after they announced that Hari Raya this year would be one day earlier. My family rushed back home to do preparations for Hari Raya after we broke fast at a restaurant, which is 2 hours away. My grandmother and my mom were busy making ketupat and tapai. Unfortunately, I could not taste my favourite tapai as it needed time to get sour.

My sister and I will go for a night walk, as we do every year, to watch the fireworks that light up the dark sky. But this time it was different after we accidentally met with a herd of wild boars crossing the road right in front of us. As fast as lightning, I ran back home, leaving my sister, who still didn't know what happened. At the end, we were both still alive and didn't need to samak anything.

This year, we all have our own unique stories of Hari Raya, and that's what makes it even more special. It's the time we spend with our family. What makes this day even more special is that it changed my life after giving one like to a random person.

Every year, my family and I always celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri in the village which is situated in Perak. We always arrive a day early before the arrival of the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. But unfortunately this year it was very unexpected that raya is announced on monday 1 may 2022 .Therefore we decided to celebrated raya at my house at nilai and went to my village after we done our raya prayer at the mosque .I was very thrilled to arrived at my village as soon as possible because in this occasion our family will gather with other family members to celebrate this festival together. On the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, I woke up early awakened by my mother. After I finished a bath and performed the dawn prayers, I was getting ready to wear my new abaya that my mom recently bought. After a while, we went to the mosque for Hari Raya prayers. After fasting for 30 days in Ramadhan, it is time for me to enjoy all kind of food. My parents and i cook all kind of food the day before Hari Raya Aidilfitri. There are ketupat, rendang, cakes, biscuits and many more that I like to eat. At about noon, my family are ready to back to our village .After hours of long journey we arrived and all family members from all over the places are gathered at my grandparents house celebrating Hari Raya together. I am very happy at that time to meet all of my cousins, play and chat with them. We ate together, talk together and laugh together. Its was so much fun. For time to time, there are some children coming hari raya at our house. As the lady in this house, I treat them to eat.Hari Raya Aidilfitri is an interesting event because all of the mistake and hatred are been forgives and forget. Each of my family members would apologise to each other either older or younger includes my family. One thing that I like the most is my grandmother, my parents and relative would give me the Hari Raya money. When night comes, we are letting off firecrackers and fireworks. the atmosphere here filled with the sound of exploding fireworks. We all slept late that night, chatting with each other. In conclusion, I like to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with my family and the other family members. The first day of this festival for every year is a sweet memory for me .

My hari raya celebration this year is not exciting as the others. It have been 4 Months since my grandfather passed away. On sunday morning, my family and i hit the road to went back to my mother hometown in Ipoh, Perak.

The house have been lefted for 2 years due to Covid 19 Pandemic and the house was in a total mess. As we arrived, we started to cleaning the house. All of us were totally surprised to hear the announcement of the raya. We all thought that raya was going to be on Tuesday but shockingly it is on Monday.

We didn't have any preparation for raya. As soon as the announcement was made. My brother and i hit the road going to nearby supermarket to buy some raya preparation. All the nearby groceries shop that was supposed to be closed ended up being opened till midnight due to the last minute preparation. Nobody expected that raya is going to be on monday.

We all slept very late that day and as the sun risen. All of us were very exhausting and not really having the raya vibe that much. We didn't even get to wear our baju raya that day. We ended up wearing it on the next day and goes to our nearby cousin house to celebrate the raya.

That's all from me

This year's Hari Raya celebration was very surprising. Because of that, my family and I could not prepare for Hari Raya. As usual on the morning of Hari Raya, my family went to perform the Hari Raya prayers. This year's Hari Raya atmosphere is very different from last year because everyone was allowed returned to celebrate in their respective hometowns. That morning, my mother had prepared some food such as rendang, ketupat and others. After that, my family and I went to celebrate at my grandfather's house not far from my house. There we could meet everyone other family members after a long time did not see each other as a result of covid infection 19. After that we all took pictures as a token of remembrance. I think that's just a little bit about the Eid celebration in my village. Happy Eid everyone ...

ohh this year's eid was very exciting. all because we belive that it will be on tuesday but all of the sudden on sunday night they announced eid will be on monday. every year my family will bakar lemang on malam raya so the outcome of the announcement will indeed give impact to us. After the announcement my family quickly went to my grandma's house which is 10 minutes away. The situation in our home that night was very hectic where the daun pishang is not insert in the buluh yet and the beras pulut also has not been soaked yet. I ended up stayed up all night helping the others. it was tiring for us after the night before malam raya also we stayed up making dodol. so on the first day of eid we all wake up late and for the first time our memohon maaf session held at around noon. but despite the exhaustion, that moment was still precious to me because of the excitement, the throbbing feeling and all the hectic. it was yet another one irreplaceable moment I can put in my memories. oh and selamat hari raya madam!

This year’s raya celebrations are a bit rushing as the date is preceded by one day. However, this raya is meaningful because all relatives can gather after two years of celebrating with covid, SOP, and MCO. The menu my mother cooked on Eid was lontong, my favorite. I am happy enjoyed ketupat and lemang after craving for it for a long time . i am very excited to celebrate raya this year as i visit many houses and they all provide delicious and interesting food. I got a lot of duit raya . yet all that fun ended on May 8th when I had to go back to college. Now i need to focus on pspm.

28 April was a very exciting day. Why? because it was the last day that all student in KMKK can went back home to celebrate the raya celebration. What can I see was, the student were waiting eagerly for the last period of the class especially for the muslim students. So, how was my raya celebration with family? I felt blessed and grateful because I can celebrate raya with them. After we had finished our solat sunat hari raya I received many duit raya from my family and cousins from my mother side. Then, we went back to my father’s hometown and I still received duit raya. I loved to celebrate raya at my father side because all of my uncles and aunties are mostly foreigners. Typically we were often to eat the ketupat and rendang and yes I ate that but my maklong made lontong which inpired by her hometown in Indonesia.. It was truly mouth-watering because it was not like a usual lontong which have a taucu sauce that make it more delicious! We also had a video call with my relatives in Bangkok and this makes me more happy to celebrate raya this year. Eventhough, we does not have a chance to celebrate raya together with them but I still appreciated because I can went back to my village after 2 years all of us cannot celebrate together because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Last but not least, for anyone who read this I want to wish Selamat Hari Raya!

Selamat hari raya madam ! As for me, my family left for Melaka on Sunday to avoid the traffic jam of people who wanted to return to the hometown . I am thankful that it did not take long and safe to reach the hometown. My family and I didn’t think that Eid would fall on a Monday. After finding out, my parents rushed to the store to buy items for tomorrow. For me, it was quite funny because we were all not ready to celebrate Hari Raya but it was a memory that can be remembered in the future. On the morning of Eid, my mother cooked many dishes such as lontong, rendang ayam, kuah kacang and more. all my relatives came to the village to celebrate Eid together. I feel very happy because I get quite a lot of Raya money from my family and all my relatives.Last but not least, happy eid mubarak to everyone!!
