Finally after one year worth of waiting, I got the chance of to experience my first ramadhan at IPTA institution which is KMKK. It’s quite different from other years since I need to prepare all of the food for sahur and iftar by myself. For me it’s quite challenging and Im starting to adapt on how to handle all of it by myself. Its quite an experience for being able to iftar and sahur with my friends.Im sure im gonna miss this memorable experience when I had graduated from this college.

Well for this year, My 1st Ramadhan was at my friend's house at Penang.I actually want to celebrate the 1st Ramadhan with my family but they are too far. Also, the transport fees is very expensive💸. I did enjoy my day there. I went to her house and did some chores and help her mom cooked for iftar. I really missed when I cooked for my family last Ramadhan,so in this way I can unlocked my memories with my family at Perak. After that, I'm really happy when her family enjoyed my cooking. This makes me missed my family even more. I called my mom after the iftar and asked her how was her 1st day of Ramadhan and she said as usual just the three of them iftar together. I hope that when I get home later,I can cooked for them and spend time with them in this holy month. Overall,I enjoyed the way my friend, cinta's family accepted my presence is so precious and overwhelming.

assalamualaikum madam. i’m zahirah from C3T3. i had my first ramadhan at my friend house which is najiha from C2T2. at first my mom didn’t allowed me to go to her house because najiha also invited 4 other close friends to go to her house. but then i decided to go to her house too because i want to experience having a first ramadhan with all of my close friends. we stayed at najiha’s house for 4 days and 3 nights. it’s a little bit chaotic but also happening because there are too much people in the house including najiha’s parents and siblings huhu. however it’s thanks to her parents for inviting us and made our first ramadhan more memorable.

Hi madam, its me suha!
My 1st Ramadan at KMKK was kinda sad. All of my roommates are going back to their hometown. So I was left alone in the room. But it's okay, Aisyah, Farzana and Atirah was there to celebrate ramadan together with me. First thing first, I woke up at 530am for suhoor. I eat nasi bujang and that's my first time eating nasi bujang. Its was not that bad but also not that good actually. (i've to be honest hahahah) After my subuh prayer at surau al jazari, I go back to my room and continue to sleep because i was too tired. After I have regain my energy, I did my daily life routine. But since we cant go out for outing. My friends and I decide to buy cafe's food only.Aisyah invited me to eat together with her roomates. They are all nice to me!.So I had nasi putih with ayam masak kicap for iftar. After iftar I did my prayer. After isyak, I did taraweeh with all the Muslims in KMKK and that was the best way to end my day for the 1st of Ramadan.

I never had iftar experience at kmkk Yet.. because I’m stayed in my friend house in Perlis for 3 days. So.. today is my chance to have my first iftar experience at kmkk. However, my roommate told me that I should look forward into it, because they had so much fun iftar together in our dorm. They had a big feast. It have a variety of foods and beverages. Also.. they perform tarawih prayer together. That’s all I’ve heard from them.. I think I’ll enjoy the rest of my iftar here at kmkk for the remaining 26 days before we celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri :)

Hai madam, regarding my first Ramadan at KMKK it was amazing. Sadly I can’t go back to my hometown this time but I’m able to go outing with my friends and we went to bazar. So this is how the story begin, we’re going out at 3.15 pm and went to Sungai Petani by train. It was my first time going to bazar at Sungai Petani as it was my first time celebrating Ramadan at Kedah. At first, we went there just to experience how long the bazar itself and it turns out the bazar is more longer than what are we expected. Can you imagine how long the bazar is? The bazar itself had variety of food and drink. I’m almost fainted to see how much choices they had. The end, I only buy nasi kukus ayam berempah, churros and takoyaki for the food and soya for the drink.

Assalamualaikum madam, I'm hakim from C3T3. So about my first ramadhan for this year, it's pretty chill rather than last year. Waking up at 5am for morning prayer, i had sahur then waiting for fajr. The rest of the morning spent with sleeping. Same goes for the afternoon. Around 5pm after Asar prayer, I went out to bazaar to meet my friend. He always helps her mother selling murtabak at the bazaar. The murtabak tastes great too!!!. If i ever go to the bazaar, buying his murtabak is a must for me. After meeting him i went back home to help my mother to prepare for iftar. We have chicken smoor for iftar. It tasted heavenly! I enjoyed the iftar to the very last bite.

Assalamualaikum madam. This is my story for my first Ramadan.

I went back home on Wednesday, the day before first Ramadan. My parents already brief me that after terawih we will go back to the village to celebrate first Ramadan with my grandfather. So, on that night around 10.30 p.m after terawih, we pack our things as fast as we can and go back at 11.00 p.m.Next day, my mother ask me to clean the living room. The part that I can't forget was my father and I struggled to sweep the spider web on the ceiling. We take turn to sweep it until we make it clean. On the afternoon around 1 p.m, my family and I went to the Giant supermarket to buy ingredients to cook for the iftar. The funniest part is my father struggled to look for the shortest queue. As an agile daughter, I ran to my father while pusing the trolley. My father with innocent face that line up without the trolley gave the the position that he line up when I arrive to him.

Assalamualaikum madam, I' m atirah , my first ramadhan at kmkk
I had suhoor alone because all my roommates went home but I video-called umi to accompany me, I spent the fasting time during the day lying on the bed doing homework and in the evening I persuaded my sister to order food for me to break the fast with the excuse that I live far away from my family and will break the fast alone and I got it, she transferred it to my account and I ordered KFC with ainee' roommate sya because she was also alone in her room and we broke the fast together.

Two days ago was my first Ramadan in KMKK and my life. It was a wonderful experience, even though I did not fast without drinking water. The duration was just half a day which from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. It was a bit difficult for me since I have never joined Ramadan before this year. Because of this experience, it made me admire the Malays who can fast for the whole day... I also experienced the suffer by the underprivileged who were not able to buy basic necessity and forced to bear with hungry everyday. It reminded me to give a hand to the poors who were in need. I even found that there were some Malays who even did workouts at the evening. That was marvelous! I can only say 'respect' to them.

At the last holiday, I didn't go home. So i have celebrated my first ramadhan at KMKK. At the first night of ramadhan, I did eight rakaat tarawih at KMKK surau until around 10 p.m.Then I went back to my hostel to wash my clothes and spend times with my friends such as playing games until late night around 1 a.m. I decided to sleep after that since I felt sleepy. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to take my sahur. Since I didn't have any food, my roommate invited me to eat together with him. I only ate 5 dates and drank a bottle of mineral water. But for your information, eating dates may looks like you cannot fill your stomach, but instead it makes you not feel hungry and thirsty until the time of breaking the fast. After taking sahur, I did two rakaat tahajud before the call to prayer and did Subuh prayers after the call to prayer. Then I slept until around 11 p.m..I took a bath and and did my daily routime such as playing games with friends and doing some homeworks. I forgot to tell that I still did not complete my group assignment yet so that time I spent my times finishing my assignment with Zaim. At the time of breaking the fast, I ate rice with a fried chicken that I bought from the hostel cafe and not forget to mention that I ate a kurma as well. I enjoyed my food with my friends especially my roommate. I think that's all from me. Thank you for reading this!

Waalaikumussalam madam, it’s Q. I, as non-Muslim didn’t have special meals for fasting but I do enjoyed great foods in Penang, my hometown as I’m lucky and blessed to be able to go back and stay at home for the holiday and weekend. During the days, I just went to do teeth scaling at the dentist’s and played badminton with my dad n his friends. For the rest of the time, I was getting nice and good rests at home. Nevertheless, I do look forward to my first experience of fasting like a Muslim which is happening today 26/3. I’ve always wanted to try fasting experiences since I’ve read about its benefits and I’m merely curious about how disciplined one need to be to complete a full day of puasa. I woke up at 5:00 this morning and ate breads and an egg for my Sahur. It’s going well for now with the support of my malay friends except that I’m feeling a little bit thirsty XD but I hope things go well and I’m able to experience fasting in full. Wish me luck !

hi madam, i went back home to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate my first day of ramadhan with my family, it was tiring because it took a lot of time on the train. i arrived in Kuala Lumpur around 1o’clock in the morning. After that, i woke up at 4:30am to sahur with my family, we just ate a simple meal and drinks. After done my subuh prayer, i continued to sleep because i just got to sleep 2 hours only. And then i woke up, i was just relaxing and watching movies and dramas. At 4-5pm i went out to go to bazaar with my brother to get some food for berbuka. Even though it is still early but there a lot of people, i got my favourite which is martabak and roti john. after that we went home to setup the dining table and waiting for azan. we did spend time and enjoyed our meals. I glad that Kedah took the first day of ramadhan holidays so that i can get to spend time with my family and berbuka together.

Assalamualaikum, madam. For my first day of Ramadhan, I went back to my house to enjoy it with my family. As usual, my mom wake me up for sahur and we eat at the dining hall together. After that, in the morning,I help my mom doing house chores by helping her throwing rubbish and organizing some clothes. When it come to the evening, I started to feel tired and my stomach started growling. Iftar is the most exciting part because my mom brought Kebab for my whole family. It quite tasty I would say. Last but not least, I went to masjid with my family to perform Terawih prayer. It don't take so much time and we still can eat our moreh at home. That's all from me.

Hi assalammualaikum madam! This isn't my first Ramadan away from home because i have experienced it before during highschool but it differs from the rest in the sense that this is my first Ramadan as a full grown adult. At first, it's hard to have a routine for sahur and iftar time because at home I have siblings and parents to wake me up to pray together or to prepare our meals. yeah i have my friends here but its totally different from my last ramadan and obviously I miss my mother's cooking and spending time with my family. However, being a month of reflection and worship, being alone has also helped me to take my time to be more conscious and reflect.

hai assalamualaikum madam, i have celebrated my first ramadhan at KMKK. It feels so blessed that i can still celebrate iftar together with my friends. It makes me miss my high school friend since i stay at hostel. I've to prepare sahur and iftar on my own and it's kinda challenging because I've to think of what should I eat everyday. To be honest i thought cafe would serve us variety of delicious food for ramadan but it makes me more sad because it was as usual. Last but not least, 26 days before hari raya i hope i get to spend more time with my friends.

Salam madam. This is Auni from M4T4. I felt disappointed that I didn't get to spend my first Ramadan with my family as the tickets for ets was sold out. As you can guess, I had to stay back at kmkk along with my 2 other roommates. The dorm was devoid of people. For the first time it was very quiet but it was nice. There's not much exciting thing that we have done other than waking up late and do homeworks. For the first ramadan, we ordered KFC to break the fast. On Friday, I went to bazaar alone yes alone unfortunately because my friend refused to go out. I had to pay rm12 for taxi fare alone. But to aid my sad feeling, I spoiled myself by buying everything that catches my eye and flaunt it to them hahaha. Fortunately, I don't have to pay another rm12 to go back to kmkk because I met another 3 girls from our college.

Khairul M4T4......For the first day of Ramadhan, I was not at KMKK, I celebrated it at my friend house in Georgetown. For the first sahur, I had a hard time waking up because I was not used to it. At first Ramadhan , it was a little difficult for me to resist hunger and thirst but I was still able to carry out fasting with patience. Because I was too tired on the first day, I spent a lot of time resting and sleeping. I was very excited when the time to berbuka was almost here at 7.30 pm .I berbuka for my fasting with full pleasure and satisfaction because I was able to hold my patience from hunger and thirst on the first day of Ramadhan. At night, I did not miss the opportunity to perform worship on the night of Ramadhan, with is the Tarawih Prayer and the Witir Prayer. I performed the Tarawih Prayer at nearby mosque and I saw the excitement of Muslims performing the Taraweeh prayer in the mosque. I also did not miss the opportunity to get a reward in the month of Ramadhan by reading Al-Quran because this glorious month only comes once a year. So, this is all my journey while fasting on the first day of the month of Ramadhan.Happy Ramadan al-Mubarak to all Muslims.

For the whole evening i played some board games with my friends like chess, snake and ladders and carom. For iftar i had some food like rice and fried chicken also with some curry sauce on the rice. Furthermore, i had iftar with some of my friends at college. That was an interesting experience because it was my first time having iftar with my friends at this college. I think that's all from me.

Hi and Assalamualaikum to others, my first Ramadhan in KMKK is quite tough. I think it is because we all had been fasting at home for the last 2 years, so it will take us time to make ourselves confortable. This month also was very hot and I think that all the student agree that we like having a sauna in our room. I think this is all I thought on my first Ramadhan in KMKK

Hi everyone I’m Gladys from B1T1, this is my first time experiencing Ramadan. Living with Muslim friends is a great experience as I’m a non Muslim. During the month, I will try not to eat and drink in front of them. Our college provide food to non Muslim. So we still have food to eat during the month. My Muslim friends also explained to me why do they celebrate Ramadan. I felt grateful after hearing from them. Some of my non Muslim friends even try fasting with the Muslims. The working hours of the schools cafeteria has extended to late midnight for Muslims to buy their breakfast before fasting. Overall this is a special experience to me that I would like to remember forever. I would like to share this with my other friends too.

Hi madam. It’s the fourth day for my muslim friends to fast. As a non-muslim myself, I’ve never experienced fasting and I don’t really understand most of the meanings behind Ramadan as I come from school where most of the students are Chinese. I believe this will be the chance for me to experience fasting and understand the muslim culture better. Therefore, I am planning to choose a few days to try fasting. I believe that this will definitely be an extraordinary experience for me.

Assalamualaikum to the readers, my first ramadhan at KMKK is considered to be quite normal to me. This is due to the fact that for the past six ramadhan, I have been fasting in a similar situation which is on a boarding school. But of course, it is not all the same.On the first day, I actually miss my suhoor so the day felt quite long and relieved when it is iftar. That's all for my experience on the first day of Ramadhan at KMKK.

Hai and assalamualaikum, my name is Zarul from B1T1. So today I'm going to tell about my first Ramadhan in 2023. Firstly, I'm looking forward for this blessing month for a long time and I has made a checklist for this ramadhan. On the first day of ramadhan, I woke up at 5.30 am to have my sahur with my family. I'm so happy cause all of my family members are here together for the first ramadhan. We took our sahur together and waited for subuh prayer. In the afternoon, my mother started to make some curry puffs to sell at my aunt's shop. Of course, I'm help her to do it too. Then after Asar prayer, Im ready to go to bazaar with my friend. We go a little bit late cause the bazaar is just near to our house, so we thought that there is not a lot people there. but the opposite happen on that day. There's a lot of people at the bazaar and make us stopping for walking. We are so unlucky that day, cause I don't get my fav soy milk and my friend doesn't get his tepung pelita. Then we going home with others food and wait for the adzan. The on the night, I'm going for taraweh with my family and sleep early cause feeling so exhausted maybe cause of the bazaar. That's all from me, thankyouu

The worst part is that I had difficulties to get food at the cafe . So , I need to go out for outing just to buy food for myself . I traveled with my friends and planned to get KFC for us . The cafe only available at night time and there is no variety of food . I also feel alone sitting at my dorm because my roommates went to their hometown to celebrate Ramadan with their family members . That's all from me .

Faezuddeen B1T1. Today is my first ramadan at KMKK. I wake up at 5 in the morning and wake up my dormmate. We all sahur together it was very exciting because this is my first time sahur without my family. After adzan I perform solat and take a 15 minutes nap. At 8 a.m Im going to class as usual. My class end at 4 p.m, after that im going back to dorm.

In conclusion, I dont feel any different fasting at college and at home beside Im a bit exhausted. Other that that I need to think what to eat for sahur and fasting break by myself, usually my mom will manage that at home😅.

Kabilan B9T9. Hi maam, i've always wanted to try fasting on ramadan because my sister used to do it alone with her friends. So this year, glad that i gained some muslim friends it is my first time fasting with my friends. The first day was easy because i slept after sahur and woke up at 4.50pm. Past three days of fasting, i can say that i can control the urge to drink and eat. Lastly, the first sip after breaking the fast it definitely gave a feel of heaven. I didnt think fasting could be this fun to do with friends.

Hi Madam… good evening. I’m Arniesha. It’s a great experience for me. Since I have fast before during my secondary school, it’s not hard for me to do it. Unfortunately, because of my illness, I have to eat something… but I’m trying my best to fasting. And I’m really blessed because the fasting comes before our pspm. I’ve heard before that fasting a great diet yet good for health… so it’s an opportunity for me to keep my body healthy before I seat for my exam. Thank you.

Hello , my name is Fitri and i'm from B8T8 . Luckily my first ramadhan this year was at home . On the first day , i don't feel any different from the usual day . It's probably because i usually don't eat to much during the day ?┐( ˘_˘)┌ After spending 3 days fasting at home , finally i'm back at the collage . At home , i sahur with a very big portion of rice but today , i woke up at 5 am and cannot decide what i want to eat . I have a thought about to cook a noodle but i don't feel like it . In conclusion , i go back to my sleep until adzan subuh. That's how it goes .

Kee Shi Sheng B8T8. Today is my first Ramadan at KMKK. I wake up at 7.30 and prepare for school as usual. The only thing I want to do while in class is eat. I feel very hungry because the cafeteria didn’t open in the morning. I was forced to be patient until 12.30 to having my breakfast with lunch together. 3.00p.m. Cafeteria is started to sell the food again. Some surprising is the stall sell roast chicken. There also a stall sell roti cannai usually open on Wednesday and Thursday opened. I decide to having my dinner with roti cannai and roast chicken.

Hai madam and my fellow friends, this is Rafiq from B9T9. So, today I’m going to share my experience during my 1st Ramadhan. My first Ramadhan was at my cousin house in Balik Pulau. It was an exciting experience where I go to the Bazar at Pulau Pinang and the first bazar after Covid-19 pandemic. The bazar only took few minutes for my cousin house by riding motorcycle and we arrived, there’s plenty of people at there. Variety people you can find at there and I was so excited about the food i can find at there too! Variety of food i found there and it’s hard making choices since you can’t buy everything. It’s a happy and exciting experience in my 1st Ramadhan. That’s all for my simple story of 1st Ramadhan.

Move to the time we love the most ✨WAKTU BERBUKA✨. It really happy because i can eat along with my friends, not just muslim but also with my chinese and indian friend. Ouh i forget to tell about their behavior they really care about us ,they try their best to not eat in front of us in evening I give respect to them for that 🫡. After waktu berbuka , we cannot forgate about favor in Ramadhan , solat tawarih it realllyyyyyy make me feel calm and happy after do a pray . Hi madam, Im Razeem B9T9. This year ramadhan begins fresh at KMKK. I stayed at the college during 'Awal Ramadhan' holiday. Im really excited to see my non-muslim friends who also promised to try fasting. Moreover, I got shocked as during the first sahur, Thinesh was the person to woke me up. Then, we had our sahur together with 'Nasi Bujang' which we bought earlier at the cafeteria. That evening, I felt slightly bored as all of my dorm mates went back home. Anyway, during the breaking time of fast at 7.30, my friends and I had our dinner together at my room. At the night, I went to Tarrawih at the surau and it really finished earlier than usual. So, I hope this year I can continue my fasting happily with my friends here

Liew said...

Hi Ma'am I'm Liew from B9. Well, this is my first time experience Ramadan with my Malay friends, classmates and also roommate. Everyone woke up at 5 something in the early morning, sahur and eat together. After that, I tried to fasting one day but I realised that I can't make it. It is too tough not to drink any water for 12 hours because the weather is too hot and dry, it makes my lips dry and peeling. I'm having a headache and end up with failure of fasting. I'm quite impressed to those who can fast for 12 hours without any water and food, it's indeed a challenging task for us who don't have any experience of fasting. I will try not to drink or eat in front of my muslim friends and friend who are fasting too.

Hi everyone, I am Farhan from B8T8.
I would like to my experience about Ramadhan in KMKK. On 25 Mac, I returned to KMKK and have the first `berbuka' in KMKK with my roomate. Some of my roommate share food like dates and berries from their home. After that things were progressing as normal.During the, I decided to pray at `surau' for Terawih Prayer.

During the sahur, I woke up at 5 in the morning and wake my other roommate. One of my roommate are sick and another do not like to eat during so I did not disturbed them. It such a pity that cafe is not open because it only until 2 a.m. So I decided to have two piece of bread covered with peanut butter and some water to have energy for lectures.

That is all from me.

I'm Yeap Jiong Ming from B8T8. I want to share my first day of ramadan at Today I try fasting with my friends Fit and Hakim because they convincing me to try it for one day. They always convincing me to try fasting when they have a topic about puasa. I want to try it because i want to experience that food and water are things that we need to appreciate. Unfortunately, I don't think i can wake up at 5am 😂. So, i will fasting from 8-7.30 and buka puasa with my friends. After taking breakfast (milo and some biscuits or bread), i will skip lunch and try my best to avoid drink water. That is the most challenging problem because i will feel thirsty and it's very uncomfortable for me. I'm looking forward to buka puasa with my friends.

I’m Loh Yi Han from B9T9. In fact, I didn’t feel any differences between during Ramadan and normal days because I just stay in my house doing my revision. But there were just a little bit changes when I came back to school. Since Muslim are fasting, I avoid drinking or eating in front of them as a respect attitude. I very admire those who are non-Muslim but willing to try fasting a short period with their Muslim friends . Due to my health condition, I definitely can’t do this. I also learned something new about fasting from my Muslim friends. It broaden my knowledge about this culture.

I feel fasting when the lunch time, but I want to try puasa with Muslim friends.I felt thirsty so I choose no to speak to much with friends. At 530pm we tgt go down cafe to buy some foods and drinks and wait until 730pm buka puasa with them.
It was a good experience for me while I feel fasting but I experienced the Malay culture and also I will try no drinking and having meal in front of Muslim friends.

It was just the same as the sunat fasting but I have to say fasting during ramadan just hits different because all of the muslim world wide will experience fasting starting from the first ramadan. Even non muslim who are not obligated to fast try their best to fast and it just make me feel awe. The feeling of fasting during ramadan can't be compare to any month because of how special this month is for us muslim. Well i have to say the best part will always be the first sip during the fasting break. It was so refreshing to have something moving down the throat that was cold. Even during eating i just ate just so that i can have the energy to move rather than having to eat a lot and being a Stonehenge for the rest of maghrib. The terawikh prayer was also something that was very memorable and the feeling of easiness achieve

Sharvin0427 said...

Sharvin B9T9. Actually, this is not the first time I'm fasting for Ramadhan month but the first time away from house and with my friends in here kmkk. I'm used to fasting when I was in high-school, with friends there because most of my friends there were Muslims. I always felt uneasy to leave them while having breakfast or lunch whenever I'm in school especially during this specific period of time Ramadhan month.. So I decided to fast with them so we can simply enjoy each other's company. I always had good time fasting as got a real good support from parents because they are acknowledged of the benefits of fasting.
Moreover, ever since I read an article about the benefits of fasting, I made fasting as a part of my lifestyle where, I will fast at least once in a week.
The real hardest part of fasting for me is the sahur period. I'm not person used to eat much early morning so I will try keep it light as much as possible always. There were times I forgot to sahur, but I still managed to keep my self strong and sustained through the day. The only cheat I would do during this fasting period is, drinking water. It is also because of my health problems, so yeah it was never intentionally.
And that's all, about my fasting thing. It isn't something new but it feels different in oddly different environment.
Hope I can keep up with the flow and stay strong through the Ramadhan month. And all the best for all the Muslim friends out there to complete the Ramadhan month fasting successfully. Thanks madam Mastura for giving me this opportunity, it really meaningful for me to express experience in here. Thanks ma'am, love you always. ❤️

Hi madam, I’m Vicky, as a non-Muslim, Ramadan can be considered as a totally new thing to me. It’s fun getting to know the cultures of all my Muslim friends which I have not come into contact with during the previous school years. The first day of ramadan made nothing special for me, but I was glad that I am able to return home as the weather is boiling hot in Kedah recently. I don’t know much about Ramadan but I think that it might be hard for me to fast for a month so I think that the Muslims must be very self-disciplined to do that. I will try my best not to eat or drink in front of them during this month. Lastly, selamat berpuasa to all my muslim friends!

Hello madam!! My first day of Ramadan at KMKK was quite boring because I had nothing to do😔. I just spent my time sleeping and watched Korean series. Since many of the students went back home, the college was so quiet. There is only me and my other friend in our room. I suggested to her that maybe we can fill our time by going to Perlis because I have never been there before. But she rejected. We also had moreh while watching magic movie.

On the second day of Ramadan, we went to the aman central. We watched suzume, an anime movie at the cinema. The movie was so interesting because of the plot. After we went out from the cinema, I noticed my ring is missing. So we had to go back inti the cimema hall to look for it. Eventually, the ring happened to be in my bag. Around 5 p.m., we went to the bazaar Ramadan located at guar chempedak. The place was so crowded. I bought roti john while she bought kuew teow soup. We managed to get to the college before 7p.m.

I had fun while staying at the college with her. This is one of the new experiences I have. This is also the first Ramadan without my family. Even though I’m a little sad because I couldn’t celebrate the first day of Ramadan with my family, I did enjoy staying here. It teaches me how to be independent 🧍‍♀️

Good afternoon everyone. I'm Sakthivelan from B8T8. During the holidays, I didn't go back home as it's very far and hectic to travel. So, I just planned to be here at KMKK. I had no choice then skipping my lunch on the first day of fasting just because the cafe's were not open. So, I consider to fast the whole day. This was my first attempt to fast all this while. I'm fasting this time around with my Muslim friends in which to experience how they feel fasting for one whole month. The first day of fasting was very challenging as my stomach keep 'noicing' out. The second day, I bought Tomyam fried rice for sahur at the café pentadbiran. My friend, Razeem woke me up for sahur. I think this fasting month gives not only the Muslim friends but also the others a positive vibe and get to know their culture & belief better. I believe that I can fast completely for a month. Furthermore,I always drop by Bazaar Ramadan every year during high school days. Unfortunately, this year I haven't had a chance to go there because the Bazaars are far away from my college. Honestly,I'm a huge fan of Bazaar Ramadan's foods. I hope this time I can make it too. Apart from this,I was also craving for roti john for a long time and finally today I got it from the kiosk right after the class. On the fourth day,(today) I'll be breaking my fast with Murtabak and Roti john with my friends. In conclusion, I'm sure these fasting experience will be an unforgettable memory for me after leaving this college.

Hi everyone,Im hakim from B8T8 ,my 1st Ramadan,I was lucky to be able to break the fast at home, I feel grateful because I still have the opportunity to break the fast with my beloved family, with the opportunity to break the fast at home, I went to the bazaar to buy enough food to break the fast, after that we waited for the call to prayer while listening to the radio and breaking the fast together, even though it's a bit tiring, but every second of breaking the fast at home is precious🤍
