A Smile For Everyone.............

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!

Hope it's still not too late to wish everybody a great,prosperous happy new year. There are a lot of things to be said and a lot of tasks to be done..................and I feel that time is very limited. Yes, indeed.......the feeling that time is running short is always there in my heart, in my mind. There are tones and loads of workload waiting in the list to be cleared and 2012 has gone and we are facing 2013 already. Working is not a problem in my case nowadays as the holiday or break is always a short one (not like last time or the good old days when we spent one and a half month relaxing and "doing nothing serious").

Facing my students actually gives me some inner strength to move on but frankly speaking sometimes when they get carried away and abandoned tasks given by you.......ermmmmm you really get blown up (like what happened yesterday) Urmmmmm of all the days, it happened on the first day of the year. Not very nice,right? But i think they deserved to be scolded and they knew it.

Okay.....got to go now! See ya later if time permits.

Alhamdulillah, my praise to Allah the almighty for granting me with this another wonderful opportunity to challenge myself .Being appointed as one of the panels to evaluate and choose the best 100 research papers to be presented in the Seminar Penyelidikan Pendidikan Program Matrikulasi is something which I have never thought of. And I am now - having a nice time making new friends who are blessed with knowledge on research and development. I do hope by being part of the group will benefit me and my life which of course benefits the community as well - Insyaallah.

Making new friends is something very wonderful- no doubt. Here I get to know  sis Zainah from KMNS, sis Natifah and sis Salwati from KMPP, sis Dalina from KMM,sis Roziah and Halfiza from KMK, Mr Nain from KMP, Dr Usang from KML and a lot more experts in various fields of research and I do learn from them. Thank you Allah for giving me this opportunity.

Alhamdulillah.

My Love Is Unwell
These few days my love tak berapa sihat. started from flu and plus the coughing, dah sakit perut pulak. asyik ulang gi toilet aja, kesian dia.......tapi alhamdulillah dia tetap puasa dan tak merungut pun.
Pagi ini lambat sikit nak ke sekolah as she went to the toilet lagi . sakit tekak pun menjadi-jadi. hari ini kena beli ubat kat dia la....so that tak melarat sangat. pity her kena berpuasa dalam keadaan yang tak sihat.And in the car , she asked me : what if she feels sleepy in the class, so I told her, just tell the teacher that she is  not feeling well. Im sure the teacher would understand. Hope she is feeling better today -insyaallah.

THE PRINCIPLE OF EFFECTIVE LEARNING

Everyone dreams of success and they will do anything to achieve it. In our road to success, one of the smart things to know is we must have a clear and solid principle for effective learning. In my experience and my search for success I have learned one that I call the Principle of Effective Learning. But the truth to the matter, I was never taught this in school or university. I learned this from my self-education, my own university. The sweetest thing is as soon as I had known this principle, my learning, my performance started to flourish. In this principle of effective learning, there are two things to know and learn. The first is reading and writing ; and the second is the two phases of learning.

Baru aja hantar segala dokumen untuk permohonan pemangkuan DG48 ke office bersama Kak Rodiah. Kerani bagitahu pengarah nak jumpa so pegi la jumpa .Dia kata kalau pengarah2 lain semua interview dulu sebab itu prosedur yang ditetapkan tapi dia tak nak interview,instead dia nak tanya aja. Kalau dapat DG48 and kena move to another college, nak pegi tak? Kak Rodiah kata tak nak cos dia ada banyak commitment di sini. As for me, if dapat KMPP atau KMK, ok la tapi kata Pengarah, dah penuh. So I said, worst come to worst, KMS la. the nearest to my hubby. Tapi kata pengarah lagi, DG48 akan ada kosong lagi di KMTK if Zahran and Kak Rodiah move if they get DG52. So I cakap, I mohon semoga segalanya dipermudahkan oleh Allah Subhanawatala. Kalau ada rezeki dapat DG48 dalam masa yang terdekat, harapan yang paling tinggi adalah remain di KMTK- Insyaallah.

Only Allah knows what is the best for us - tak perlu la cakap yang bukan2,ya tak? Doakan agar semuanya berjalan lancar dan if ada rezeki,dapatla. Kalau tak ada....kita tunggu time-based or apply for PC next year. Usaha ke arah kemajuan dan kebaikan itu adalah tuntutan Allah, jangan duduk diam dan berharap rezeki akan datang bergolek sahaja. Selepas berusaha, kita bertawakkal- Insyaallah  Allah akan permudahkan. Amin.

Hi, today is the 9th day of the Ramadhan.Things have been going on pretty well with the household and the kids. But something is really bothering me : my never-ending cough which started nearly two weeks ago. it's really painful and annoying actually, not that I am not grateful to Allah for all his blessings, it's just that I dont really like it when I cant really concentrate on my work. Taking cough syrup doesnt really work, instead it made me sleepy. Even worst ! And that kind of feeling, turns me to blogging.......

A terrible day indeed. Lots and lots of essays are waiting to be marked and there's going to be a meeting in another two days which needs my full concentration in preparing my handouts.

Sympathy vs Empathy
Sympathy and Empathy are two of the most common misunderstood terms in the English language. There are hundreds of people that do not understand the difference between these two terms. They are actually two separate terms that have some important distinctions that everyone should know.

It is fair to state that both sympathy and empathy are acts of feelings. With sympathy though, you feel for the person. You pity or feel sorry for them but you do not necessarily understand what they are actually feeling. As a result of this you tend to have no choice but feel sympathetic for the person because you do not understand the problem or predicament that they are presently having. Empathy on the other hand takes a little more imagination, work, or even similar situations to gain empathy for someone. It is most often referred to as higher order in the overall complexity of the human emotions.

You can describe empathy as sharing a feeling with someone. So do you notice the difference between the two so far? With empathy to an extent you are placing yourself in the persons place, you have a good sense of how they feel, and you also understand their feelings to some degree. Sometimes it may seem impossible for someone to feel empathetic to a person’s feelings because of their reactions. These reactions involve their thoughts and feelings towards the issue are going to be unique to each and every individual. The idea of empathy though implies a much more active process than sympathy does.

It is hard for you to empathetic to a person’s feelings but it can be easy for you to feel sympathy. It is easy for you to feel sympathy for someone who has lost a loved one, has undergone some certain kind of trauma, or have faced some very difficult times.

When sympathy is expressed to a person that is experiencing grief suggests to you that that person is alone in their grief. Empathy on the other hand suggests to the person that you are right by their side through the whole issue that they are dealing with, at the moment. You have the ability to imagine how it is to be in their shoes, and you are with them during their time of stress and turmoil.

The difference between sympathy and empathy is often misunderstood but when you understand the differences you will be able to use the terms in a better manner.
