You have made good and excellent reviews. Today I am sharing another short video, a much sadder and more deeply heart-touching one, I could say. My tears dropped every time I watched this video. There are a lot of things to learn from it.

Itu tema yang saya sasarkan untuk penulisan santai anak-anak saya hari ini. Sesekali saya larikan mereka dari fokus yang formal memanjang. Mereka penat, mereka stress, mereka gelisah dengan beban pembelajaran yang bertimpa-timpa. Sama seperti anak-anak saya sendiri.....melihat mereka belajar, saya turut terasa bebanan yang perlu mereka tanggung secara fizikal dan mental. Lelah ! namun apakan daya, itulah kehidupan. Saya larikan mereka sebentar, namun masih dalam landasan yang sama....mereka akan perlu berfikir, perlu menulis untuk saya baca akhirnya dengan harapan objektif serampang dua mata akan tercapai. Mereka perlu belajar berkongsi apa yang mereka rasa. 

Penulisan santai yang membawa impak pada penulisan dalam bahasa kedua, itu harapan saya.

 Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone.

Today is the last day for students from Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Pahang (KMKPh) to stay at Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Kedah (KMKK). You are on your way back to your hometome and beloved families. 

It is SAYONARA finally.

Being here at KMKK for more than 1 month must have given all of you a lot of experience. All the bittersweet memories will be taken back to KMKPh, I believe. Creating Skits From Idioms

Today, my students have presented their idioms to the class and explained the meaning of them.Later, they were requested to create a skit from the idiom that each group has chosen and present the skit to the class. With a short time frame given, they created wonders.

Idioms in ESL Classrooms

Assallamualaikum and a very good morning everyone.

Learning idioms or proverbs is fun actually,providing you know how to use it in a very useful way.If you are able to insert idioms or proverbs in your speaking or writing slot, you can be ensured that you will be getting extra marks for that extra effort,

so why not go extra miles in your learning path?

In our previous lesson, we have gone through a few parts in learning new idioms:

1. Early info via Telegram apps about what you will be learning in your next class 

was given.

2. Instructions were given in class on how to go about it and smaller groups were created.

3. Group work in coming out with the drawing and sentences using the selected idioms.

4. Group presentations where the rest of the class will have to guess the idiom 

based on the drawing.

5. Sharing of sentences using the chosen idiom.

An idiom is an expression with a figurative meaning that differs from the literal meaning. We hear idioms every day – both in conversation and in the media. Used correctly, idioms can amplify messages in a way that draws readers in and helps to awaken their senses. An idiom is a phrase or expression whose meaning can't be understood from the ordinary meanings of the words in it. For example, “Get off my back!” is an idiom meaning “Stop bothering me!” The idiom “You hit the nail on the head” means “You're exactly right.” Here are some other idioms you might use in your writing.

Let us start by stating your feeling attending your first class with me and your hope for our coming classes. Blog Journey With Madam Mas

Assallamualaikum everyone.
Another achievement that all of you learnt during my classes is learning to write via blog comments.You have shared with me earlier that not many of you have ever read or write blogs before. Knowing me, is knowing my blog as well.

I will be very happy if you can share you feelings, opinions,point of views during your journey with my blog. You can start by :

Cerita Blog Peribadi dalam PdP Bahasa Inggeris

Perkongsian saya hari ini adalah tentang penggunaan blog dalam PdP atau sesi Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran harian kita sebagai seorang pendidik.Mungkin ramai antara kita sudah mempunyai blog peribadi seperti saya ini. 

Bagi saya,blog peribadi bukan hanya sekadar berkongsi tentang kisah sendiri sahaja,oleh itu saya gabungkan juga dengan kerjaya saya sebagai seorang pendidik. Dulu, saya hanya kongsikan bolg entry saya tapi bila saya terima anak-anak pelajar yang kurang berkeyakinan dalam berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggeris,subjek yang saya ajar,maka saya mula terfikir untuk menggalakkan mereka menulis secara santai. Yang pastinya,mereka harus mula menulis.

Caranya begini. Bila saya merancang untuk jalankan sesuatu aktiviti di dalam kelas tutoran, saya akan masukan ke dalam blog sebelum kelas bermula. Saya galakkan pelajar membaca blog entry saya sebelum kelas. Flipped Learning berlaku di sini dan pelajar bersedia untuk belajar dengan sesuatu input atau informasi sudah berada di dalam minda mereka.Mereka tidak datang ke kelas tutoran saya dengan fikiran yang kosong atau minda yang tertanya-tanya.

Seterusnya PdP berjalan seperti biasa dengan pelajar belajar menerusi penerangan dan aktiviti yang dirancang awal. Student-centered pastinya kerana mereka akan lebih banyak berkomunikasi sesama sendiri dan bersama saya sepanjang masa kelas berlangsung. 10 minit sebelum kelas berakhir, saya seperti biasa akan menghala mereka kepada komunikasi bertulis iaitu memberi komen-komen berupa self-reflection atau feedback dari PdP dan aktiviti yang dijalankan tadi.Self-reflection atau feedback ini mereka akan berikan di dalam slot komen di dalam blog saya.

Pada awal saya perkenalkan inovasi kecil saya ini, mereka sangat kurang berkeyakinan. Mampu hanya menulis beberapa ayat sahaja dan mengambil masa yang agak lama sebab self-consious mereka terlalu tinggi dan self-esteem mereka terlalu rendah.Sekarang, saya boleh berbangga dengan peningkatan keyakinan mereka.

I am a proud lecturer now.

The Learning Journey With Madam Mas

Assallamualaikum to all my beloved students.

The time to leave KMKK is so near and all of you will be leaving to stretch your wings further,to achieve your ambitions,to soar higher and to become better people. I will be missing the moments shared with all of you. A lot to be mentioned, to be precised. The time we communicated online during night times and dawns when the others have already in beds, the morning texts everyday and the activeness of most of you when I assigned any tasks.

In these two semesters, I have already seen and watched all of you grew from the naive to more matured students of mine. Very proud to see all the changes in you especially in the learning of English as A Second Language in my class. I could see a lot of you have transformed maturely from being very scared students to braver ones. Those who were so quiet, now have become great person in communication. Those who were very timid, now have become more cheerful and lively. Those who rarely use ICT, now are the expert. How proud I am to watch all these happening in front of my two eyes as I assisted you along the ways.

I will write more in my other entries soon but as for now I would love to hear from all of you. Write from yours hearts. Enjoy yourselves when writing and become an open-minded person,each of you.Have a great day everyone.
