We can se that the starting of this short film is showing us the rough life of Azuan. He was struggling with life because of his father being biased to his brother and sister that was good in acedemics. Azuan wants to expand his talent but if he was still in that house, his doesn't get the chance to go further with his dreams. The way that he reunited with his brother was a very wholesome scene and it was very unexpected for them to meet in that situation. The moment that Azuan got to meet his parents during Hari Raya was very heart warming because we get to see the reuniting of the family and that is definitely a very tear dropping scene. Overall this is a great short film with a fabulous video quality. The team may have put a whole lot of effort to produce this masterpiece

The story was deeply touched the bottom of my heart. It tells us about an eldest son who still returns to the hometown after few years being thrown out of his family because his parent considered that he has no future. In a nutshell, lesson from this story is as parents we should not assume that our children have no future.

First of all, happy ramadan kareem to everyone and happy eid fitr to all.Firstly, from the short film i just watched, i realised that everybody has advantages and disadvantages in something. What important is how we take advantage in our speciality. Second, the moment that boy decide to run away is what make my heart shattered to pieces because every children just want affection from their parents. He decide to run because he didnt deserved to be treated that way. Lastly is the scene where he come back to his hometown to meet his own family back is what i adore so much, he forgave his father for the way he being treated almost make me drop a tear. That's all from me

Every parent should support all of their children's dreams and not comparing with other siblings. Every children has their owm pontential, so keep support them until their success. For me, the scene that touch my heart is when Azwan’s father ignore Azwan during the dinner.

Lesson, I get from this short video is we must be fair and appreciate all people in our live regardless of foreigners or family to make sure them not feel marginalized or unlove. For example,Wan love art and have talent in art but his father dont like it because his father think to succes,Wan must have good acedemic achievment and go to university like his other sibling. When Wan teenager,Wan run from home and his succeeded in his carrer. One day,Wan meet his brother back and his decide to meet his family back in Eid after a long time not see his family.I think no matter what happend between our family,we still love them and we want do the best for ourself and family. This short video have a good lesson for parent and son too.

To sum up, the short film really touched the deepest part of my heart. It shows how strong the bond between two long lost brothers even though the last time they met is when they are in teenager and also, just a kid after the brother decided to run away from the house and start his career as an artist. Besides that, the film also shows that with drawing skills you can also be a successful person. Since the film is also related to Hari Raya Aidil Fitri it is also proven that with Hari Raya Celebration everyone seeks forgiveness and strengthens their bond with each other. The moral of the story is once a family always be a family no matter what, no matter how long and how far they are from our eyes there is always a special spot in our hearts that is occupied by our family.

The story was very touching to begin with, it tells a very somber topic about supporting other people's interest and in this case, a parent's towards their child. It shows the consequence of parents not supporting their child's passion causing them to run away from home leaving the parent consumed by guilt and regret. It does also tells a story about forgiveness like the child years later goes back to his hometown to meet his family and forgives his guilt ridden father for his actions years ago. In conclusion, it's a wonderfully eye-opening story of support, regret and forgiveness.

Hola I am syarmin. I have seen the short film and I would like to gave my review.

The character Wan or called Abang is someone with a soft heart and love Khat art but unluckily he got a patent with stereotype mentality which is believe on art can't give you a future. So because he love his family he keeps the talent only for hobby.

Since Abang is not good on academics his parents especially his father always tortured him in front of his siblings due to his disability to be as smart as his older siblings. This scenery is a common things happen in nowadays life.

So Abang take a step to move out from the bad surroundings and built his life alone to proof to everyone I choose my life and God knows the best.So he be successful with his efforts.

Even though he succeeded but he is lonely so as I said God knows the torn paper that torned by his father be the symbolic due to his broken heart be the reason to he unite with his younger brother called Cha

From this film I got a message don't put down someone talent event it is not worth it to us because it is so meaningful to them and someone else. Parent should not compared their children it is can create a hatred among siblings. Siblings exist for support family.

For parents and myself kid's is not mini or better version of us but they is who their are. Spread the love with everyone. Love is free but it is priceless.

The Eid Fitri is coming and I just saw a shot movie named Conteng. It is a very heart-warming video as it really relates with me because I love arts so much including drawing, singing and writing. Basically it tells you a story about a young man who are passionate and have vision in arts but his dad underestimate the value of art. He thinks that art can't give a person a bright future. Then, the brother who loves art decided to runaway until one day. His younger brother reunite by accidentally working with him. That's truly a heart broken moment for me. The feeling of meeting someone you miss like decades, I can't even imagine how deep it hurts?! Then, the brother return to meet their parents on Eid Fitri and they cried of course. What I learn from this story is that art is an endless valuable matters, never give up with our own passion and always remember where we started from which is our hometown. The storyline is great and the revealing of his younger brother by scar is really creative. The build up phase is totally great for a short film storyline. The music background is on point and most of the parts gives you a sad vibes. From the point of aesthetics and cinematography, I love the cinematic color grading because it really matches with the themes on some parts. But, honestly it's average for the aesthetic value. For the full rating, I would give it 7.5/10.

First of all,I'm deeply touched by this film especially when its about someone you call a family.
There are few lesson that I learnt from this short film. One of the most highlighted part for me personally is the bond between the parent and their children.I also realised that the main character actually has shown a symptom for dyslexia. But the parent are ignorant and did not realised that.Instead, the parent keeps comparing him with his other siblings. This taught me the importance of knowing your children instead of comparing them with your other kids because every kid is special and unique.
On the other hand, this film also taught me about how precious your family is.The part when he,the main character realised and reunited with his little brother got me tearing up real fast.I'm so touched by the litte brother who never forgets his brother even after many years has passsed. It shows that a blood is really thicker than water.
Overall, this short film is worth to be watch at least once by everyone. Also,I would say kudos to the production team for highlighting the message on the disease called dyslexia in which people often simply ignore it these days.

"Iklan Raya CONTENG" is a sad short film. The main character, which i believe his name is Wan, is a great artist. One day, he drew a piece with his younger brother, Cha. That night, his father keep complaining about his academic performance, pressuring him to leave art world and focus on his study. His father then proceed to compare him to his older brother and sister. He also told the youngest to not follow Wan's path so he could have a better future. In my opinion, this really hit my nerves because painting is Wan's passion. No one should be prevented from following his dream. If i put myself in Wan's position, I would feel hurt too. One night, his father went off limit by ripping Wan's art piece he done with the youngest. Wan took decision to run away from home. His mother was the last person he saw before he took off. Years passed, Wan becomes successful painter. He opened his own art gallery. One day, his brother come to work with him. They spent some times together as a employer and employee. In my point of view, I think the brother know that his employer is his brother, but he is afraid for how Wan will react so he kept silent the whole time until Wan hold an iftar for his employees. The youngest was found eating biscuits with milo (i think?) and that hit the reality to Wan. All the memories he had, from his childhood with Cha come flooding back. He realised that his employee was his own brother. This really touched my heart because after so many years, they havent met each other, they went through a lot. Wan was all alone after he run away from home. Meeting a family member surely hit his heart feeling assured that finally he met with one of his family members. The day of Eid came, Wan decided to come visit his home. The first person he saw when he entered the house was his mother. This almost makes me cry because mother-son reunion is very precious moment. He greets his mother and proceed to entered the house. He met his father, the one who ruined his childhood. Personally, I would hit the father because he ruined his child dream, but after the father saw his child, they went full waterfall crying. That really touches my heart because at the end, family is the most important thing in the world. No one could replace a family's love. Wan bring his father to his art gallery, and they talk about all things, bad memories, the part when his father went full mad when he saw Wan was painting instead of studying. They laugh, remembering those bitter moments. Now Wan is a successful son. I'm proud that Wan didn't give up on his dream to become a painter. I hope I can have the courage to pursue my dream even if I have many disadvantages and challenges to go through. For parents, I think it's very wrong to prevent their child from making their own decisions because at the end of the day, it is their own life. Parents should be encouraging their child to follow their own dreams. Its not wrong to give advice, but it is very important not to make a decision for a life that not ours. I hope more parents aware and take action for this matter to understand their child better.

from the short video, I can conclude a point of view that is quite meaningful to me. The point of view is that we need to help someone or support someone to pursue their dreams, this is also said because not everyone is interested in learning like others, but able to create a thought interesting creative like in painting or equivalent field. The story tells about a child who was scolded by his father for not being able to enter the coupled tower like his brother and sister, but is able to make money with his painting. The conclusion from the story is that we should not follow friends or parents in pursuing dreams because our abilities are different from others.

This short film deeply touched my heart. It almost brought me to tears, but I refrain from crying as I fear my friends will mock me. However, the film imparted several valuable lessons, particularly for parents with young children. It underscores the importance of parental support in shaping successful individuals who contribute positively to society. When parents fail to nurture their children, perhaps by constantly comparing them to others or their siblings, it undermines their confidence and can lead to stress, especially when making decisions. Parents must trust the natural growth process of their children, even if their interests diverge from what was expected. For instance, if a child enjoys activities like drawing, parents should encourage and support them rather than discouraging them. Pursuing hobbies can lead to both personal fulfillment and financial gain, allowing children to share their joy with their families.
That concludes my thoughts. Thankyou.

"Conteng" is a short film about a man named Yan running from home to live his dream as an artist and after many years, return home during Hari Raya after a bit of motivation giving by his little brother, Cha, to face his family once more. The plot itself has been done many times, but this film was able to bring out a lot of emotions, something that most films failed to do. Sadness, joy, shock, and most of all, love. Stuff that has been seen many times but being able to feel for a film is what makes it stick with you and take the lessons given by the film in your heart. Whether it is chasing your dreams, supporting others dreams or something as simple as loving and caring for your family, it's the simplicity in these lessons that shows our power to grow into a better human being and giving us the ability to open our eyes once again to appreciate the beauty of our world in its entirety.

I am Muhammad Abdul Karim bin Abdul Halim from class E3T3. I want to write a review about a short film that was specially recorded by PKNS. This short film titled 'Conteng' tells the story of a teenager named Wan who was teased and often angry by his father because he was not good at studies and was only good at doodling. He is often compared to his older brother and older sister who are smart enough to continue their studies at university. He and his sister are often ostracized by their father. His mother felt sorry and sad for her son. Until one night, the poor teenager was determined to run away from home and leave his family. A few years later, Wan has become a successful person. He has opened his own shop and sells his doodles. One day, a man applied to work in his shop. The man had reminded Wan of his younger brother named Cha. However, the man was really Wan's younger brother. They are sad and cry because of deep longing. On the morning of Hari Raya, Wan returned to his house and met his father's mother. They apologize to each other and hug. This story is so sad that it brought tears to my eyes. Finally, Wan took his father to the shop to show the success of the scratch results that his father had previously disparaged. From here we learn that as parents we need to be fair to our children and support the advantages that our children have. Another lesson, even if our mother and father always scold us, hurt our hearts and make fun of us, we as good children need to forgive and treat our mother and father well. That's all from me, thank you

The short film "CONTENG" is a deeply touching tale that explores themes of family, passion, and reconciliation. Through the character of Wan, viewers are taken on a journey of self-discovery and perseverance. The narrative beautifully portrays the struggles of a young boy who faces criticism and neglect from his family for pursuing his passion for art. Wan's resilience and determination to follow his dreams despite familial pressure serve as a powerful message about the importance of staying true to oneself.

As the story unfolds, Wan's success in building a company centered around craft and art highlights the transformative power of pursuing one's passion. His reunion with his younger brother, who seeks employment at Wan's company, adds depth to the narrative, emphasizing the bonds of family will never be broken.

The film's emotional core lies in Wan's eventual return home during Eid al-Fitr, where he is reunited with his long-lost parents who had been searching for him. This heartwarming moment definitely brought me and most other viewer to tears. The film's message of forgiveness, acceptance, and importance of familial ties is definitely something to learn from.

Visually captivating and emotionally resonant, "CONTENG" is a compelling short film that leaves a lasting impression. It serves as a reminder to audiences of all ages to pursue their passions fearlessly and to cherish the bonds of family, even in the face of adversity.

I will rate this short film an 8/10

A new commercial titled "Conteng" by PKNS for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Eid al-Fitr) tells a touching story. It follows Abang Yan, the eldest son, who faced discouragement from his father during his teenage years. His artistic pursuits were seen as impractical, leading to comparisons with his siblings. This created a strained family environment.

Despite the negativity, Abang Yan possessed a determined spirit. Undeterred by doubt, he made a life-changing decision, he left home to chase his dream of becoming an artist. Many years later, his hard work paid off. He became a successful artist and even leads his own company, proving his talent that he is able to achieve success through his artworks.

One day, Abang Yan hires a new employee who shares similar traits with his younger brother from his childhood. This encounter reignites memories of those difficult times, one question asked by the employee, "Where will you be returning for Hari Raya later?" unveils a painful truth: Abang Yan's estrangement from his family. This realisation leaves him speechless, reminds him the past conflicts.

The story takes a hopeful turn during a company dinner. There, Abang Yan encounters someone he recognizes – his brother, "Cha." This reunion sparks a journey of reconciliation. In the end, Abang Yan returns to his village, forgived his father and showcase the success he achieved despite the initial doubt on his artist dream.

This story is very touching, as it explores the theme of family estrangement, pursuit of dreams, and importance of forgiveness. It leaves a lasting impression, encouraging the audiences to cherish their families and mend any broken relationship.

CONTENG (short review)
This short story, entitled 'Conteng', with its main character 'Wan'; got a lot to be told and is enough to make one cries. A story, that tells about a son; Wan, that makes his father dissappointed in him, since he did not want to go to school, and chose to spend his time drawing instead. His father dissappointed so much in him that he even tear up one of Wan's drawing in front of his own eyes, upon knowing that Wan has been spending his time on such things. The first climax came, and Wan unhesitatingly run from his house later that night.

The story continues, showing the life of Wan as a succesful manager of an art museum. One day, a new worker was hired by him, and without him knowing, it is his most beloved little brother; Cha. The next climax came; Wan knew about Cha, and they hugged each other with tears. This part for sure made me cried, a lot. Wan, in the world where he had to leave his house and his beloved little brother, struggling to made up him life as a succesful artist; met Cha at last after years of separation. What in the world could deny the intense sadness and tears in that moment?

At the same time, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around a corner, and yes, Wan decided to come back home to met his family once again. The next climax moment came when Wan met his mother and his father. No I don't want to spill up the plot here but all I can say is, at that moment, I can literally feels like I am Wan himself. The feeling, the tears, the atmosphere; all that can be felt.

To wrap things up, I am really inspired with the story; Wan especially. He really inspired me to not giving up on things we love even if no one sees the future that can be created with it. I can't imagine how he faced all that with nobody holding his back, but fortunately he managed to fetch his dream at last. That's all I can say!

the short film about eid mubarak was very touched because the actor play a good character and make me feel in the story.thw moral value about this film is about love from parent to their childs. the parent should fulfill them with their willness and sharpen their skill such as Abang Yan whos have talented in drawing. The parent should not restrict them to focus on acedemic only because they will be stress.

Beside that, some of part in this film such as when Abang Yan was kicked out of the house at child,he miss his father so much till he is focusing on his career.when he meet his father and hug him make me want to cry.

It was a film about how a boy started with a hard life because of the way his family treated him. the boy was neglected and treated harshly by his father, all because he had an interest in drawing. He decided to pursue his dreams by running away from his family. But after all these years of success, his brother found him as a popular artist and reunited him with his family.

We could see that the love of family is string no matter what happened between them, no matter how long they haven't met, no matter how bad they treated him, there's still love inside them that will never fade, that's what family is about, loving each other unconditionally.

Selamat Hari Raya everyone, don't forget to apologize for all of our wrong doings and be grateful for everything that we have.

The short film lead way to many conclusions. from an intro perspective view, prejudice and lack of understanding is prevalent in traditional society. Traditional values are being put above and given more importance, however with the fast movement and influence of modernisation, these values are at threat, hence open mindedness prevalent in modernisation loses to the rigid and uptight nature of traditional society. In the film, abang yan's parents do not give much of a thought of giving a chance on pursuing art, and immediately show a strong opposition towards it. People of narrow mindness tend to exhibit these behaviours. They prefer achievements that they can be added to name. Such as being a doctor, engineer which are widely known and respected. Rather than being one track minded, and thinking in such a straight mannner, we as a society should broaden our minds and not be quick to criticise or evaluate. Rationalising should be taken into account. Although, abang yan and his parents do make it up to each other in the end, a painful seperation and emotional turmoil had to be put in place first. We should think rationally, and even though we dont agree with someone on an emotional level, take into consideration of the logistics, and be open to changes.

The first thing I would say about this movie is that the bond between family members will never end. No matter how much you hate them, they will always think of you and find a way to help you. We can see that Cha, Yan's younger brother, always eats biscuits with coco powder to remind him of his brother. This power of love can not be found anywhere else but in the family, because they are the person who will stand by you in hard or easy times. Moreover, don’t underestimate a job because everyone's fortune is different. It may seem like the job has no future, but it can lead you to success if you take an interest and put in the effort. Nothing is impossible because you make things posibble.

After watching this short film,I felt very sad because he was been coompared with his siblings.I also feel bad to his father because they have searched for Azuan for years.Latly I was happy that his father has finally proud of his son.
From this short film we can learn that comparing our son with each other or their sibling is bad for their mental health.Other than comparing why not support their talent.Next we can also learn that forgiving each other is a good decision so that they don't hold grudge with us

From the film, I have learned many things from different perspectives. For example, when one day we become a parent we should support our kid's passion no matter what it is. On the other hand, I also learned that no matter what anyone says or how much people discriminate against you, keep pushing forward in your passions and one day you will achieve something no one can.

In the end, I would recommend this film to everyone mainly focused on parents and teenagers because the problems that happened in the film a very frequent things happening today and even I faced it once. In my personal opinion, parents and teenagers should try to understand each and other and spend time more together. This way they would create a bond an understand what each one of them wants or dreams. Overall, I would rate this film 7.5/10.

What I understand about the situation in this video is that Helmi is a mischievous, evil type of person who likes to steal things from villagers until one village claims that he likes to steal people's things. That's what his mother treats Helmi firmly and harshly compared to other siblings, more gentle and caring. But when Helmi has been slow to improve and become better until he can become a supervisor, his mother still scolds him because his previous behavior was naughty. Although far away in the corner of her heart, she still loves him and hopes that things will get better. That's the one who always prays, but her mother's mistake is that she doesn't show her love and concern for Helmi until Helmi holds a grudge against her mother. It's just that when his brother comes to tell the truth, it's too late, until at some point he can't feel his mother's love in reality and face to face. The lesson is, it doesn't matter if it's a parent or a child, as long as you have the opportunity to love, do it. Don’t feel regret if they are gone.
So as child , we have to always love and apperciate them because they are very important to us

The movie started with a plot that did not introduce the characters and left the viewers guessing and making assumptions. The great narration has slowly brought the spotlight to the Boss, who is the main character of this short film. In terms of the stimulation of ideas and morale, I have learned a thing or two from the film. It has come to my great attention that the film stresses filial piety, which, in simple words, means showing love and respect to elders. However, another moral that has been depicted in the film is to have understanding, respect, and think outside the box. It is said so because putting attention on unconventional things or those against the norm of the society does not necessarily mean it is bad or a failure. For example, Elon Musk, who is an entrepreneur and revolutionist, was doubted in his early days of starting up an electric car company, Tesla, which later became a multi-billion-dollar venture that has brought significant impact on society. These real-life examples have shown us that we should never doubt anyone's idea or view on a specific matter. Hence, it would be utterly blind of us not to see it from their point of view. As the saying goes, we should really put our feet in their shoes in order to get a clear picture of what they're thinking. Back to the point on loving and respecting elders, in my humble opinion, no matter what our parents have potentially done to us, whether they're good or bad, at the end of the day, we are obligated to respect and show them affection, as they're the ones who have brought us up as infants. Well, in terms of plot and settings, i think the storyline is great, but it has a cliff-hanging effect in the end, which I personally think is not a good ending for a short film. I do think that the authors should summarise by bringing up flashbacks on parts of the film, so that, the film will have an overall better ending. But these are all merely my own points of view.. Overall, I would rate a nine out of ten apart from the ending.

So, as family members must play a main role in helping children with this disease instead of blaming them.

Asa conclusion , parents should not pressure their children only in studies they should also support their children's hobbies and interests because with their skills ..... they may be able to go further than children who are only good at studies

From the beginning of the film, we can know that Azuan has a depressing and sympathetic family background. Due to the unique bond between parents and sons or daughters, the support from parents is very important to us. However, the main character, Azuan, who is very unlucky, has a father who has been biased toward him and never encourages him to the direction of dream. Even if Azuan had decided to run away from home to pursue his dream, he still came back home to see his parents during Hari Raya. What i can say is that it is blood thicker than water. The reuniting of Azuan family scene is heartwarming and tear-jerking to me. From this film, i appreciate that i have a family always stand behind me and always support and encourage me.

I would say that this short story really touch the bottom of my heart. "Conteng " somehow teach me that if you're not doing well in academic it doesn't mean you don't have any future upon you. Our potential and future opportunities are not limited by academic performance alone.

Other than that , please don't allow negative comments or doubts from others to haunt you and hinder your pursuit of your dreams. Staying determined and focused on your dreams despite what others may say is crucial. Believing in yourself and persevering through challenges is key to achieving your goals. Don't let the opinions of others deter you from pursuing what truly matters to you. Keep pushing forward and working towards making your dreams a reality.

One day, the son run away from the house. After a few years, Wan meet again his little brother but he don't talk to his little brother. After a few days, he talk to his little brother and the little brother take him to his old house. Wan meet his father and his father miss him so much. The short film "CONTENG" is a deeply touching tale that explores themes of family, passion, and reconciliation. Through the character of Abang Yan, viewers are taken on a journey of self-discovery and perseverance. The narrative beautifully portrays the struggles of a young boy who faces criticism and neglect from his family for pursuing his passion for art. Wan's resilience and determination to follow his dreams despite familial pressure serve as a powerful message about the importance of staying true to oneself.

As the story unfolds, Abang Yan's success in building a company centered around craft and art highlights the transformative power of pursuing one's passion. His reunion with his younger brother, who seeks employment at Abang Yan's company, adds depth to the narrative, emphasizing the bonds of family will never be broken.

The film's emotional core lies in Abang Yan's eventual return home during Eid al-Fitr, where he is reunited with his long-lost parents who had been searching for him.

Overall, I will rate this short film an 8/10

As I reflect on the PKNS Raya advertisement titled "Conteng," I am struck by the profound narrative that unfolds before me. The story of Wan, a young man with a passion for drawing, misunderstood by his father as being lazy and uninterested in studies, resonates deeply with me. It's a tale that speaks to the heart of anyone who has ever felt undervalued or misjudged.

The video reveal a community moved by Wan's journey—a journey that highlights the challenges faced by individuals with learning disabilities like dyslexia. It's a poignant reminder of the struggles that come with such conditions, struggles that are often invisible to the naked eye but deeply felt by those who bear them.

Through the lens of this advertisement, I've learned the importance of early intervention and the power of understanding. It's a lesson in empathy, in recognizing that each person's path to success is unique and that what may appear as a lack of effort is often a battle against unseen obstacles. Furthermore, the video also serves as a call to action for parents and society at large to be more observant and supportive of the special needs community. It emphasizes the value of celebrating every individual's unique talents and contributions, regardless of the challenges they may face.

This advertisement, "Conteng," is not just a commercial; it is a mirror reflecting the societal need for greater awareness and acceptance of learning disabilities.

The short film 'Conteng' has shown numerous implicit values, making it a touching narrative. Initially, Wan's father doubts his abilities and continuously compares him to another child, a behavior unbefitting of a supportive father. Wan's decision to leave home reflects his deep-seated hurt and frustration. However, fate intervenes, and Wan rises to become a successful boss with a team that includes his estranged brother, Cha. When Wan notices a scar on Cha's arm, memories resurface, leading to a heartwarming reunion and the restoration of familiar bonds. This heartening resolution underscores the message that judgments based on surface appearances are often misguided, as everyone's journey unfolds in its own time. 'Conteng' beautifully emphasizes the importance of patience and understanding in our interactions with others. Overall, this short film delivers a powerful reminder of the complexities of family relationships and the potential for a growth.

‘Conteng’ is a very sad story and it’s makes me feel more sad to know that this short film based on the true story.

Based on this story I can learn a lot of things.
For me, I think Wan and his parents are both equally wrong. His parents should support his dream instead of force him to do what they want him to do. As a parents, I understand that they want the best for Wan but they choose the wrong way to educate him in order for him to become successful. In fact, they should support him by giving him the chance to learn and grow. Other than that, his parents should change their perspective on art field. As the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover.

Meanwhile for Wan, I think he’s also wrong in this situation because he should not left his parents just because they don’t support his dream. Instead, I think Wan can prove to his parents that he has passion in art field.

The scene where he leaves the house was definitely showing him having to make a hard decision. It doesn't means that he's not an obedient son. It was just that he needs to get a better surrounding to pursue his dreams.

Overall this is a great short film with a fabulous video quality. The team may have put a whole lot of effort to produce this masterpiece

The short story shows a boy who is an ambitious artist but is disgraced by his father for being one.
One of the morals in the short story is that you should never give up on your dreams. Even if it takes running away from home or making tons of sacrifices, if you truly believe that pursuing your passion will make you succeed, try to achieve that success by all means necessary.

The second moral is to always remember where you came from. At the end, we could see that the main character is reunited with his family. Although this time, his father has turned over a new leaf as he embraces his son’s warmth with his own arms. Even if he was the one who downgrades his son, the son seemed to never have any feeling of hate towards his father. In my opinion, deep down his son knows that his father is just worried about him and his future that lies ahead.

This short story 'Conteng' really made me tear up. To be honest, it's so sad if you understand and know more about this shortfilm.
It start of by giving us the backstory of our main character , Wan , who has passion in art and drawing . However , his dad thinks that drawing won't make him succeed in life thus they got into an argument and resulting in Wan running away from home . After running from home , Wan did make a living out of his drawing and in a turn of event his brother found him . That set off some emotion in Wan heart to finally return home . I really like the scene where Wan reunited with his parents , especially his dad . In the end , we found out that his dad has been looking for Wan year through year . This shows no matter how cruel or harsh they may be , your parents will always love you from the bottom of their heart .
As a conclusion, ever father should support everything what thier children have done. Even though maybe it is not useful for the future but we do not know what will happen in the future and do not compare with other siblings, it can hurt the feelings if you can not be like the other siblings.

Assalamualaikum,

From the short movie,we can see that dyslexia, often perceived solely through the lens of academic struggles, deserves a broader understanding that acknowledges the diverse talents and strengths it brings. While traditional education systems may pose challenges for individuals with dyslexia, their innate ability to excel in areas such as drawing showcases the importance of recognizing and nurturing alternative forms of intelligence.

By embracing and nurturing the creative talents of individuals with dyslexia, we not only empower them to thrive but also enrich our communities with unique perspectives and innovations. Their artistic contributions challenge traditional notions of success and remind us of the beauty and depth found in diversity.

In conclusion, dyslexia is not a barrier to be overcome but a gateway to creativity and innovation. Let us not underestimate the potential of individuals with dyslexia, but instead, celebrate and support their talents, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued in our society.

This shortfilm called 'Conteng' made my tears welled up in my eyes. It is about Wan who have passion in arts that did not get supported by his father. The story start with Wan's teenager life where he express his interest in drawing. When his father saw the drawing he pissed off by saying that it cannot guarantee Wan's future.

After getting compared with other siblings, Wan decided to run away from home. After years, he become a successful entrepreneur in art field. Suddenly, his younger brother , Cha went to Wan's office to become employee there without he knows that Cha is his family.

As time pass by , Wan get to recognize it is his younger brother. One of scene that my tears started drop where Wan return back home after years during Eid. Literally, his father have been searching him through these years.

This story delivered important message that everyone can learn. First , as a father , he should support his children's passion no matter what it is as won't know what future brings us.
Next,as a child, Wan shouldn't ran away from home at first , he should prove to his father that art is not nothing. It can be something in future.

In conclusion, I love how the actors express their feeling in the making of this great shortfilm that relates to society.

This short film tell the story about Wan who has talent in the Traditional Art of Khat Calligraphy but not supported by his father because his father think that he has no future if he chooses to be an Khat artist. Even his calligraphy work was torn and insulted by his father who often scolded Wan for him to be like older brother and sister who studies at university. One night, Wan decided to leave his house and his family, go to the city to become a Khat Calligraphy artist. Wan became a successful artist in the city and his little brother, Cha apply for a job in Wan company to meet his brother that he hasn’t see his brother for a long time since Wan left the house. When Wan decided to back to his house for Hari Raya, his father that hate and insulted him before crying when he saw Wan finally back to the home.
In my opinion, this film tell us about we have to appreciate all talent that we have no matter what talen we have. We have to support each other in any situation such as in this film, we have to support someone in our life who have talent in arts and want to be artist and not insult the talent because they has no future when he decided to become artist.

I recently watched a short film for eid fitr , “CONTENG”. This eid short film is based on real story. This sorrow short film depicts a teen that have a passion in drawing but did not get any support from his father. Long story short, he ends up successful in his career and make his parent proud of him.

Thus film filled with amazing actors who truly make the film. First, Jalil Hamid veteran actor as father shows excellent acting. Other actors which from “Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan” (Aswara) also played an important role in playing the characters in this movie perfectly.

As mentioned, Azuan likes to draw and he always show his drawing secretly to his little brother, Cha. One day, his father found his drawing and tore it up in front of his face. Later that night he decided to ran away from home. Additionally, you won’t be able to watch this film with a straight face, and you will be tearful.

One of the best thing from this film is that it is from a real story. This shows that there is still a few parents that did not support the ability and passion of their child and think they will not be success. Azuan’s father did not believe that art can make his son be successful. Audience anger will arise while watching this scene.

Finally, I love how in this film just when everything seems to finally be going right. There are also time where you think that Azuan will never going back to his home and continue his life in city but then when his brother make him remember the past, he finally back to his home and meet his family.

Overall, this is a great film with a mix of a ton of sad and a happy story all rolled into one. If you're looking for a emotional short film, this is undoubtedly the movie for you.

During Eid Al-Fitr, I watched this one short film, which is 'Conteng '. For me, Conteng has ''a very good story.

This story is about Azuan, who is very talented in drawing and art. Azuan very much loves drawing and art. Unfortunately, his father is not the same as him. Azuan's father wants him to always focus on his studies and not draw. Azuan is very lacking in academics, and because of this, his father became so mad at him. Azuan's father always compared Azuan with his siblings and said Azuan would not have a future. However, Azuan decided to run away from his home and presumed his ambition in drawing and art. After many years, Azuan became successful. He also got to meet his little brother, Amsyar, who is his new employer. This reunion with Amsyar made Azuan decide to meet his parents, especially his father, during Eid al-Fitr. The return of Azuan made his parents happy, especially his father, who had searched for a long time.

In this story, we can conclude that parents cannot judge their children just based on academics. This is because every child has their own uniqueness and specialization. Besides that, parents must always support their children's ambitions, because parents are the true foundation for their children to achieve the life they want.

Although, abang yan and his parents do make it up to each other in the end, a painful seperation and emotional turmoil had to be put in place first. We should think rationally, and even though we dont agree with someone on an emotional level, take into consideration of the logistics, and be open to changes.

Conteng, based on a true story, depicts the narrative of Azuan, who enjoys painting. However, Azuan's father believes that brilliance does not ensure a successful future for his son. Azuan is also frequently chastised for failing to achieve the same academic success as his younger brother and sister. As a result, Azuan decided to leave home and establish a new life for himself. After a few years, Amsyar, his younger brother, gets a job and bosses his older brother. Azuan notices that Amsyar has the same scars as his younger sibling and realises that Amsyar is his brother. When Raya arrived, Azuan returned to his parents' residence and reconnected with his father and mother.

After seeing this film, I was deeply affected by the story. When his father compared him to his siblings, I felt awful since his father did not see Azuan's abilities for sketching. When he ran away, his father set out to find him. Whatever, his father was usually upset with him since he was always painting, but he still loved him. After returning home and forgiving his parents. Finally, this is a fantastic short film that we should watch because it provides numerous benefits.

This short film called 'Conteng' shows the reality of todays world.

Personally, I think that parents play a significant role in detecting signs of dyslexia in their children's early years. There are various types of educational interventions that can teach effective new ways to learn and read. Children with dyslexia may work with a trained specialist to learn new reading skills.

Dyslexia means that your brain prefers to think visually like pictures and movies. In this case, we can see that Azuan loves to paint and draw. It doesn't mean that he is lazy or have no intention to learn. Deep down he is struggling with himself and has nobody to support him especially his father.

Parents need to take note about their children's development. They have to take action to treat their children and don't be in denial. They also have to be grateful in every step that their children do.

Emier Fahad C2T2 said...

The main character, Wan has dyslexia. It’s a learning disability that makes reading and writing really tough because the letters get all jumbled up. Imagine trying to read a book, but the letters keep dancing around and flipping upside down. That’s what it’s like for people with dyslexia.

Wan’s dad didn’t know about dyslexia back in the day. He thought Wan was just not trying hard enough. But it’s not about effort; it’s about needing a different way to learn. Nowadays, we have the internet and social media to learn about stuff like this, so there’s no excuse for not knowing.

Also, Wan loves to draw. And that’s totally fine! Just because someone has dyslexia doesn’t mean they can’t be awesome at other things. We should celebrate that, not put it down.

We need to pay attention to our friends and classmates. If someone’s struggling and it’s not getting better, maybe there’s more going on. Getting help early can make a huge difference. So, let’s not pretend everything’s okay when it’s not.

So, that’s our take on dyslexia. It’s not about being lazy; it’s a real challenge that some people face. But with the right help and understanding, everyone can succeed in their own way.

After watching this video, I am truly touch my the bravery of Wan who decide to run away from his house just to pursue his dream although it is not supported by his father. He never give up even his father kept comparing him with his siblings who have greater achievements in their academic. It isn't easy for him to leave his family and live alone outside.

However, I don't hundred percent agree his action. I understand that his father always wanted the beat for him. He shouldn't run away from his house just like that as his mother and siblings will be worried about him.

It is also mentioned that Wan has dyslexia, a learning disability. We should always remember that struggles are often invisible but deeply felt by those who bear them. Therefore, we should never simply laugh at those who is facing learning disability just because we are lucky enough.

This video also is also encouraging the community, especially parents to be more supportive to their children. They should always give them trust and confidence in pursuing their dreams.
