Level Up Program

Assalamualaikum and a very good morning everyone.

LEVEL UP PROGRAM is a program created to get feedback from peers and lecturers on speaking tasks. 

Feedback is "information provided by an agent regarding aspects of one's performance or understanding".  It's a reaction to a learner's action that aims to engage, inform and increase knowledge by reducing "discrepancies between current understandings and performance and a goal". The more frequent and consistently you provide feedback, the better. When you follow up learning with immediate feedback, it causes learners to pause, engage, and modify behaviour at the moment. Giving feedback instantly as opposed to periodically makes learning an active rather than passive experience.

Talk-Tag Program

Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone. 

I introduced the Talk-Tag Program earlier. I purposely aimed to encourage everyone in my class to start talking in English or make the course livelier, especially the morning classes. Yes, it has to start in a very cosy and comfortable environment. As we have been doing, someone will spark the day with a simple story and he/she will tag the other friend to continue where was left. The tagging will continue with a few friends so that the class has to break the ice and be ready to continue with the lesson for that day.

Task :

Here is your first project for this semester.

The name of the project is Catchy Vocab Aid.

Please read the instructions and steps given for a start.

1. Create a group of 4-5 members.

2. Look at the sample ppt attached above.

3. You need to find vocabulary based on the letters given. 

     Eg. Group 1 - A-M

           Group 2 - N-Z

4. Based on the letters given, find the specific vocabularies. 

5. Give the meaning of the word, and provide 1 sentence and 1 or 2 related pictures.

6. Later, we will convert this ppt into a video and share it in our padlet as well for public viewing.

You can ask questions if you are still unclear about it and we can discuss more.

Assallamualaikum everyone.

The new semester for 2022/2023 session has started and we are waiting for all the new students to enrol. Such happy moments waiting to meet all of them. An excellent feeling in welcoming new faces to KMKK. Even though we are really busy with the Minggu Profesional and preparing other things, the excitement has not subsided.

OK, wish me luck for tomorrow. We will have a big event under Program Matrikulasi so stay tuned for the updates.

Sharing Your Raya Moments

 Assalamualaikum everyone.

Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin.

Hari Raya was great, right? We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest after 2 years of not being able to celebrate the occasion due to this Covid19. As for me, all my siblings and son together with their families came back to celebrate and it was really awesome when everybody pulled up their selves and worked their hearts out to prepare for the long-awaited festive moments. 

We cooked and ate together, we prepared dishes for the whole family and of course for our honourable guests who came to visit. we went to visit our relatives and friends and ohhhhh it was fun, even though the trips were very tiring, but we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Photos were taken everywhere to be saved as part of our sweetest memories together. 

That is a little sharing from me. I will share more from time to time. Do share your moments of Hari Raya here.

Happy Holidays

 Assalamualaikum everyone.

Yesssssss........ it is the last day of school, finally! Can't wait to get the bags and hit the road ya.  I can feel the warm sensation of the hols already and frankly speaking, can't wait to finish my work at the college today and rush back to continue preparing for the big celebration. Alhamdulillah, completed the chores of buying baju raya for me and the kiddos but of course, there are many more tasks to complete; cleaning the house, tidying my little garden, baking cakes and so on and so forth. Busy as always ya.

Before departing.......share something on your last day. Have you :

** submitted all tasks assigned by your lecturers due before the hols?

** packed all belongings needed before heading home?

** cleaned your rooms?

** make sure no food is in the lockers or drawers?

** taken care of other little things that need to be considered?
