This post shares the differences between creating the Tree Maps manually using sticky-notes + manila cards and creating the Tree Maps online using Google Drive.
Both are of course, groups work.
I want everyone to share your own experiences using both ways of creating the Tree Maps. Do not worry, you can share the negative as well as the positive parts of using both methods.

Like Gallery Walk activities,i also did not join the Tree Map activities but as i can see in your blog,they had so much in doing the activity
Tree map is actually one of the mind map that is used to show clearly the point for summarizing notes or whatever. For this activity, we doing this activity by manually and online with google drive. As for me, I more interest in doing manually as we can decorate more creatively and easy. When doing it online, it cause a limited space and it is hard to make it more interesting. I found out that doing manually is more easy than doing it online via Google Drive.
With this activity we able list out the main points and list it out in order about the topic. With this we able tl get an overview of the topic and able to do the essay easily.
This is a way to make a simple note and we conclude the essay we had read. It make the essay more simple and nice to see.
We use technology to done this . We do this activity using computer and mobile phone .I think this is more easier than draw it.
In this activity, we must list down our main point, after that we have to describe the main point into something else. We did this Tree Map in Google Drive which is easier to us to be more creativity.
Tree Map is a good way to come out with supporting details from the Main Point in a short, clear and concise ways. However , I notice that Google have not design an impressive method to draw a good Tree Map and this has bogged down many of us to use up a lot of time to draw it . Maybe we should search out for a more dedicated website to draw Tree Map
First of all, I learned many knowledge about how to do the mind map via online. I knew the skill of doing mind map without using template. Although this work is quite crisp but it was fun because we done this together and we had a great teamwork.
In my opinion, creating the tree map by using Google Docs is much more easier as we can work on a same project even by using different computers. On top of that, students can also work on and improve their computer skills and knowledge.
From this activity, we need to brainstorming our idea about the topic that have been given. We also need to make elaboration of the points that have we have stated. This activity is interesting because we can share our idea and make us more creative while doing the tree map.
We did this tree map on GD. for me it's quite interesting because we can just complete this task on our pc or phone.. to complete this tree map, we have to find some point on the topic given which is COMPETITION TRIGGER OUR MIND.. Then, we have to organise the point in a mind map in order to make more clear when we write the essay.. this tree map helped me a lot in produce an essay.. i like this tree map..😚
MMO is one of the activities that help me to learn how to do a mind map in the computer. From, this activity i have used is Google Docs as the medium to do the mind map online. In my perspective, it is more easier to do the mind map online than to make it on handwriting.
Tree Maps is a good way for students to show their skills and creativeness to others by using technologies. For some students, it might be new things for them but it is okay, they can learn them and used them in the future in a proper way such as doing their assignments just like we did in this activity called Tree Map. Otherwise, it save our time rather than doing this task ( Tree Map ) on a big manila card. I did not mean that it is a wasting time for us, but by using technologies, it will become more faster.
Tree map is a kind of i think map that we had done in Google Classroom.We had completed it together in a group.This enables us to combine and share our ideas.We wrote down the points and ideas into the tree map.After that , we arranged it properly.
This helps us to elaborate our points and explore the ideas in an essay.This is used for classifying and grouping.We can sort ideas into categories or groups. I like it as we can arrange the point properly.This method is useful for me in writing essay or arranging our ideas.
tree map is a kind of activity that i loved most.From here i able to share my own ideas and opinion with others.Furthermore not only share but also can add ideas to others team tree map.It was quiet a good and fun activity that can be did in class.In fact students also can show their creativity while creating the tree map.From here it much easier for students to understand about the given topic from lecturer.Overall.tree map is fun and teach us new skills in creating a short notes
Doing this tree map, was very fun activity plus, very useful too. Me and my group did one tree map under one document at the same time. it was my first experience doing one work in the same document in different computers at a time. this experience was also fun as we made a lot of fun ourselves like making jokes using that and all. plus, it was very friendly as we get the freedom to do it in the computer or in our phones. For the tree map,I remember about doing it online and using manila card.But,I prefer more to do tree map using manila because it needs my own fresh creativity.We were separated in team.So we got about 5 group in total.5 of this group implement the task and as the result,we got about 5 tree maps.
Therefore,we can walk a bit and see a lot of fantastic creativity
For this kind of activity, we having a fun to share ideas together. There is still have comparison as do the mind map manually or online. For me, i think both of them still interesting and everyone have their own opinion which suit for them. Overall, we shared our struggle and end with enjoyment
Just after we strolled in our walking activity gallery we were asked to prepare a tree map according to our groups. The tree map needs to be completed via google drive and it needs to be based on a round map made before gallery walk activity started.
The Tree Map summarizes the things that we learnt about 'Competition'. We brainstorm the ideas together and learned a lot from each other. It was an amazing activity.
After finish creating our tree map, Madam Mas ask everyone to recreate the tree map that we have done using google drive. She wants to see our creativity and our skill in using computer. Thankfully, it is same like creating mind map so I have known the way to do it. I use the help from google to refer some creative design of tree map, then I recreate it with my own style. Honestly I said that creating tree map in google drive is take time but it give a beautiful result.
Yeah we were doing tree map using Google Drive.From this learning system,I can explore more interesting application of Google.We can make a Tree Map using tools and the shape and make it colourful.So,it such a interesting activity that can grow up our creativity.
