EWO Project With E2T7/8

E2T7/8 boys and girls did  their essay writing online in the class this afternoon. I thanked them for being so cooperative in all my projects regarding English Language. I told them as well that they are my living proof that my students are not technologically illiterate. They might not know much about the applications or tool kits used for teaching and learning,but once you show your patience in teaching and guiding them,they learned successfully.They never say no to any new ideas being shared with them because they know those shared ideas are for their own good.

EWO Project With M2T7

Assallamualaikum and a very good morning viewers.

With my M2T7 class, we proceeded with the EWO project as planned. Actually I am very impressed with my students' progress and commitment. They really followed the instructions obediently and I know they are working hard to enhance their English performance. Here I am sharing how they discussed online via chat box in the Google doc where they have  created their mind maps and now continuing with their essay writing. Even though these are only a few samples of the conversation and discussion online, as for me they are enough to show how hardworking my students are in upgrading themselves.

I am very happy to share how they feel about carrying out the project, be it in the positive ways or the negative ways. Hopefully, the project and their comments will be able to benefit the others as well-Insyallah.

FOG Project With C1T4

Assallamaualaikum and a very good morning everyone!

Today is a Saturday and it is a working day. I started my class today with my bunch of joyful teenagers of class C1T4. At first we started with the continuation of their comments on EWO project. I get lots of positive comments on it and surely very happy with the impact on their attitude and self-esteem.

Later,they proceeded with FOG Project and this time I could hear lots of laughter and silly giggles and jokes. I have no problem with that as long as the ice is broken and they get warmed up with their little chat and sharing.

EWO Project With C1T4

EWO stands for Extended Writing Online. This is a continuation of MMO which is Mind Map  Online where all group members contributed in creating a mind map for the group. The task for EWO is to write a full extended essay based on the mind map they have created and the essay is supposed to be a collaboration between all the group members. In the process of writing the essay, all members are advised to collaborate,scaffold and edit or do a peer review on the essay until it is near perfect. The lecturer is always there to do the same process where needed and provides comments or feedback where necessary.

Let us hear what all the students feel about carrying this project whether they gain advantages or disadvantages in enhancing their writing skill.

FOG Project With E2T7/8

Proceeding with another class,E2T7/8.

I started by letting them browse through my previous entries so as to make them understand why I am carrying this FOG project with them. At first they were so formal in carrying out the discussion and I have to urge them to be less formal and take things easily. The session is supposed to be an ice-breaking session and a warming up step before they start their speaking practice. 

So sit back , relax and enjoy your chat!

The girls talked about their experience being caught by the fellow this morning. Nik and Dayah were among them besides the boys Muiz, Hadiff, Akmal, Azam and Anisyahirah. Take it easy but learn your lesson well, boys and girls! Online games (Mobile Legend) was the topic of discussion in Muiz's group while Zhariff's group talked about PS2 games. Well, the boys really cannot be apart from games,yea!

Mizan and his group happily chatted about their favourite game which is football. Sharing their experience is fun and they learn to speak in the second language more freely when they are not pressured.

Hope this project will be able to help my students to avoid having cold-feet when it comes to speaking.

FOG Project With M2T7

Assallamualaikum and Good Morning viewers.

As I wished early in the morning today, I was hoping and praying for a fruitful day. Alhamdulillah, Allah  grants me with the best outcome. For my second class today, again with M2T7,we proceeded with FOG Project.

The class was divided into 3 groups of their choice and they started  discussing topics of their interest. I can hear laughter, jokes and easy-going conversation among my students. I am happy with the great improvement reflected by their effort and it seems that speaking in English is not that scary anymore!

Some of the topics discussed were about their hobbies, Red velvet serial which is in session now,KAKOM at KMNS, what they do not like about KMTK,the experience being caught for being late,dream wishes and football tournament and the list went on and on.

Extended Essay using Colour-Coded Method

Assallamualaikum to all my dearest students and viewers out there.

Yesterday was the colour-coded day....so how did you feel about it? From the outline I have briefed earlier, I asked you to detect the sub-points in the sample essays given. Has the instructions or teaching shared earlier become clearer to you when you were given the sample essays as guidance before you do your real writing?

Since all of you were so happy when I asked you to share with me and the viewers out there regarding our two projects via Google Drive, I am inviting you to do the same here for this new entry of mine. I am so very sorry, as I have only managed to get these few photos from our good-looking friends , but if you can send me more, I will be happy to update in my other entries, of course.

MMO Project with C1T3

Assallamualaikum and wishing a very happy morning to everyone!

Scaffolding,Collaborating and Peer-Reviewing

Assallamualaikum and a very good morning boys and girls.

Alhamdulillah,we have finally completed our Academic Writing task using Google Drive application. Congratulations everyone!! Frankly speaking,I am very happy with your performance as each and everyone of you have shown your fullest commitment and shared your highest contribution in making your Academic Writing project a success.

You have gone through 8 weeks together in order to complete this major task in writing skill.You must have treasured many great experience and happy moments working together and of course,at the same time you faced many problems and challenges.

I am very delighted to invite all of you to share all your experiences, give comments and feedback ,be it positive or negative so that I can improve the process of carrying out this Academic Writing via GD with your juniors in the coming years.
