I think there are a lots of fun things that i am doing in my classroom. The first thing that I do is we divided to a group and we are given a task to doing in mind map online. I think this activity is very interesting because we can be more creative while we doing the mind. We create the mind map using the google drive. So everyone can add the point and improve the mind map in everywhere although we are not doing together. The second thing I do is writing essay online using the google drive. For me this way is so easy for me because we also can write the essay through my phone. In addition, phone is a sophisticated technology that we can do everything just use our finger to tap the phone. The next activity is I doing fun oral group. This activity is very amazing because many a lots of advantages I can get from doing this activity such as I can improve my speaking very well and fluently. Then we also the gallery walks. This activity is very fun because we can get many information while we were doing the gallery walks and we also that ask if we not understand about the information. Next is we doing hope tree using a cardboard. From this activity I can give my opinions to do the others activity that I want to do in the class. Then we also do a tree map. Like usually we were divided in groups and we finished this task together. I think from this activity my communication with my classmate has improvement. I felt very satisfied because everyone in my group give their cooperation very well. After that we also do a circle map using the card box. From this activity I can improve my knowledge because everyone should put the point in the circle map. So through the circle map I know many point that I can use to do an essay. Furthermore, we also do public speaking. Through this activity it can make myself to be more confident while speaking in front of everyone. Then we also do community service project that we call Charity Work. This activity can make I learn something new and lessons while doing the charity work. This was because we can know the villagers very well and they also give their advice to us. I feel very happy because I can help the villagers to clean the windows of Masjid Al-Munir. Lastly is we use the application of google classroom and google drive in ESL classroom. I think all almost the task that has been given we do was using the google drive. From this activity I can improve my skills using ICT because after this activity I know the function of google drive and how to use it. In my opinion, I hope I can develop what I learn from the teacher for use in the future.

The last semester was almost over. I have learned many things in English classes. When i attend english classes, it actually really interesting because i have done a lot something new which is i never done before. Firstly, i have created a mind map online. It really interesting because i can create my own mind map with creatively. I can put a lot of colours and shape that I like. Secondly, i have wrote the essay writing online. When i write writing online, i need to use internet . so something i do not have enough internet to do essay online . but this activity also have advantage which is i do not have to write an essay by hand anymore. Thirdly, i have been done fun oral group. This is really interesting because i can communicate in english language with my friend. So that i can improve my english language skills. Fourthly, madam mas told us to do gallery walk. In this gallery walk, i need to see other work and give comments. From this activity, i can see various idea from my friend which is really creative and intelligent. So i can improve my creative idea and fix my problem when they comment about my work. Fifthly, madam mas told us to do hope tree. In this hope tree, i need to write my hope for future. So that, i can keep focus to achieve my hope.
Sixth, we need to make tree map. Tree map is one way to generate interest while learning english because i can put many colour that i want. So that, i can memorise new english word easily because it has a lot of colour. Seventh, madam mas told us to do circle map. From this activity, i have know that circle map is actually easy to use and it also can help us to come out the important information from any essay and put in circle map. So that i can easily see the important information. Eighth, i have done public speaking in english classroom. This activities have help me to overcome the nervous when i speak in front other students. So , i can be more confident when doing other public speaking. Ninth, madam mas have told me to do community service project. This is the most memorable thing and I will never forget this activity. This is because me and my friend need to do charity work. So we decide to do charity work at mosque pokok tai. From this activity i can communicate with villager people about their life in village. I can also close the relationship with my friend. This charity have given many moral values to me. Tenth, the application of GC and GS in ESL classroom. From this activity , i can improve my skill using google . before i enter english class, i never knew that google doc and google classroom already exist. Madam mas have teach me a lot of new thing that i never done before .its very meaningful. Thankyou madam.
As a student obviously we always felt that learning something new is stressful,difficult to understand don’t we?.This is actually a type of stereotype that had been haunting us.Just imagine,we have a math assignment that need to hand in tomorrow,but at the same time,u have been assigned with another subject assignment.Of course we feel stressful and depressing at the same time.Despite of that,learning can be reverse to something that not stressful at all.that’s what i learnt in the english classes by using the mind map to make it easier to learn.I tried the mind map and it works well with me.in my opinion,this type of activities is really good and should be implemented to another subject too.But unfortunately as a student,we always had a feeling called laziness even the thing that we do is good for us.I mean that’s is just a problem that we always had.MMO which is Mind Map Online where all group members contributed in creating a mind map for the group.In the group we learn to cooperate with each other and understanding because somehow we seldomly talked each other.We know that matriculation programme is just a 1 year programme.so we take this opportunity to get to know each other.compared to the past time and now,we are now just like a family from different parents.
The second thing i learn is fun oral which make out communication better than before.in my opinion,the fun oral group is an activities that make us talking in front of the classmates that’s make us not to feel nervous while talking in front.As a student that develop the himself,self confidence is an important element to be a leader in the future.another thing is community service project,this activities is my favorite because its the outside classroom learning session.This activities make us learn that cooperation among the student will make everyone happy because of helping each other.the best thing we learn is,if we do good thing to other people,the good thing will happen to you.
To be honest,all of the activities that been carried out by us was preparation for the student that will be further their studies in the universities indirectly teach student an important element that must have in all student that might be a leader one day,who knows?

My Learning Journal in ESL Classrooms
The final examination is just around the corner and also my time on this college will end up soon. I have learned many things when I was here for a year especially in English classes with Madam Khalipah Mastura. Her class was very interesting because I have learned and done a lot of something new which is I never done before.
Firstly, creating a mind map using google docs. It really interesting because i can create my own mind map with creatively with the computer helps. I can put a lot of colours and various shape that I like and the mind map become pretty and fun to read. Secondly, i writing online essay. It was so much fun and relaxing. We do not need a correction tape to erase our correction, in stead with just one tap the mistake is deleted and the works are much more clean than writing hand’s. Next, we do a gallery walk session. In this activity, we need to see other work and give comments. From this activity, i can see so many brilliant idea from my friend which is really creative and intelligent and indirectly its improve my knowledge. Beside that, madam told us to do a hope tree. In this hope tree, we need to write our hope in the future so that we can focus to our objective. Last but not least, I have done public speaking in English classroom. This activities have help me to overcome the fear when i speak in front of my friends. As a result, i become more confident when giving a talk in front of peoples. Lastly, madam mas told us to do community service project for our assessment work. This is the most memorable thing that I will never forget. We do the charity work at local mosque. From this activity, I can interact with the villagers and ask them about their story. I can also strengthen the bond between me and my friends. This charity activity give me so much moral values. Madam mas class have taught me a lot of new things that I never did before and it was very helpful and meaningful. Thank you for teaching me. :)
Dear Madam,
This is write for madam, I would like to share my feeling about the activities that madam do for us to madam and want to say thank you to madam that teach us so much things. I still remember that the first activity we do it together is Mind Map Online (MMO). That time I not understand why madam need to teach us and do difference activities for us because that time we do not how to do it in computer. For me, computer is a one tools to play the game and watching movie and drama. So that time I not feeling good when madam first time want us to do it online. I still remember I use two hours more to do one mind map because it really hard for whose never use this application before. So after that time I hope madam do not give us more homework online because for one homework I need to use more time to do it. But the reality is I still do it and no say anything while madam still give online homework. Although I do not like it I still need to do it because I believe that what madam teach us and give us is good for us.
Day by day, we gradually learned to apply what the teacher taught us. I also gradually forget why I do not think madam always give us more online homework. Maybe it is the results what we get from activities madam do for us. We also getting used to it. We also learn in ESL classroom many things such as Essay Writing Online(EWO), Fun Oral Group (FOG), Gallery Walk, Hope Tree, Tree Map, Circle Maps, Public Speaking, Community Service Projects, the application of GC and GD in ESL classroom apart from Mind Map Online(MMO) in this two semester. All things I learn from madam can say it I never learn and know before whether when primary or secondary school. So I very enjoy in what madam teach us because it is a knowledge for me and what I learn from madam is very useful for me in future. In this two semester we totally learn ten activities or what we can say is new knowledge from madam.
What I want to say to madam is thank you so much because madam has prepared a lot for us, and also tired a lot. So what we can say is I am very grateful to the teacher for doing everything for us.What madam teach to us is very useful to us and it is very amazing. These is because when we are doing together we very enjoy with madam and with my fellow friend so this also will will be my sweet memories. We are about to graduate soon and we only have five week left in this college, so I will take care of every time and all people in this college. Last but not least what madam already teach and memory with madam in this college I will remember until I lose my life. Thank you so much madam.
During english class.we have done many exciting activities and one of my favourite is mind map online.When doing mind map online,I’m able to share my opinion and ideas with others and from here I also able to finish the given task quickly.Every task that given be more exciting and we managed to do it properly and also learn about something new when using computer.Besides that,doing task through online just improve our knowledge as we can search as many as can for the information that is needed.Furthermore,we can explore for the extra fact or information.So,overall about the MMO is quite fun especially when we worked with friends to make it more wonderful when sharing ideas and can hear other opinion as well.Then another activities is writing online essay this activity actually has made my mind to be more creative when writing essay.I able to pour it up from my mind to make every point in this essay become interesting.In order to elaborate all of the points in this essay, I make sure that my knowledge and information about the title of the essay enough.I always searching for more content to make my writing to be good.It was one kind of experience that is valuable as i practising how to write essay online and i just love i it.Actually,writing is more fun when doing it online and also easy to search for extra information.So.overall this activity is very good and thaught to be more creative when writing essay.AS the result i have learned many new thing during english class and grateful as i can apply it not only in exams but also in my daily life.Overall i just loved english class and looking forward to improve my english speaking and writing skills.Thank you madam for all of your sacrifices and hopefully can learn many others new thing with you....MUCH LOVE..
I got a lot of new things from all the activities.It reduce my stress just because the exam is around the corner.All these activities make me more relax and calm.
From this essay, I can know about my weakness in grammar and building a sentence. I also can overcome my uninterested in making essays.It is because when making an essay, I will hardly to think about the points.So I will started to feel bored.But when I making online essays.It be more easier because I don’t have to use pen and a papers.Furthermore,It might be funny but I feel like I am one of the advanced people that use gadget in their learning.This thing will make me gain my interest in making essays again.Besides,when we write using computer,we can detect the grammatical error and we can make a correction.Simply said essay writing online can overcome my weakness more quickly than using paper.For the first time i heard about FOG,my mind will thinks about fog that we can see in the early of the morning. Assalamualaikum to my beloved Madam Mastura. First of all i want to thanked you on what you have sharing to me and my friends in almost 1 year for 2 semesters in KMKK. How blessed we are having you as our teacher. For all this time, you teached us many new things that we never expected from you before such as you teach us how to use Google Classroom, how to write online using Google Drive and you also teaches us on how to speak confidently using your ways. You made us interested on you with some fun activities such as walk gallery, hope tree, circle maps and more which is all of them are benefit to us. but my favourite activity is FOG because it make me feel free to speak. well that part was so fun to me. plus, it totally make me upgrade my confident level. to be honest, making an online essay such a terrible things to me. however, it slowly improve my writing and my skill in using Google Drive. gallery walk is such a relax activity when we just need to walk and see the mind map that have done by our class members. then, public speaking is a so-so activity to me since i didnt good in speaking. but, without realise it make me want to speak more. so, i wish i can learn longer with madam mas. but we know that this sem is our last meeting and learn together.
First of all, i felt very awkward to use technology to make work but I have learned many things in English classes with Madam Khalipah Mastura. For the first task Madam ask to make a mind map(MMO) with a computer.Its take a time because it is first time to me make a mind map using a computer.Before this i just used paper and pencil.Next we do a Essay Writing Online(EWO). EWO is a platform to training writing with keyboard.It is very useful when we work later.It is very good because the others subject not used this method.When we used the computer to writing it have auto correct spelling.Thats make we more attention about spelling when do a essay. Experience level of writer would come helpful and can bring you extra marks.
Fun Oral Group (FOG) is a new to me also.This activity is good to improve our speaking to make it more fluently and clearly before we do a public speaking or presentation.Gallery Walk is the activity we have to walk and saw the others group idea.From this activity can avoid student felt sleepy.In addition,i can see so many brilliant idea from my friends which is really creative and intelligent.We also do Hope Tree, Tree Map, Circle Maps.
For the Community Service Projects, my group do a project cleaned a sport store room that called beautiful storeroom.Many things i learned from this project.For the all activities, what i can say to madam is thank you because that a interesting activities although it take times and a little hard.Last but not least what madam already teach and memory with madam in this college I will remember until I lose my life and a lot of new things that I never did before and it was very helpful and meaningful. Madam Mastura's English classes were always exciting and impressive since semester 1 at KMKK. Madam Mastura is creative and always come up with something simple yet really useful and helpful. Activities like Mind Map Online (MMO), Essay Writing Online(EWO), Fun Oral Group (FOG), Gallery Walk, Hope Tree, Tree Map, Circle Maps, Public Speaking, Community Service Projects turn out to be a very exciting activity. Our first activity was MMO. At first, doing the mind map was hard and was not my favorite task from Madam Mas. I felt that I could have done handwritten if the only madam gave permission. Luckily, Chong, Iqram, and Aiman were in the same group as me. We shared a lot and tried many ways. Many time we had to restart the work caused by mistakes and technical issue. Plus, using google drive was another thought fight for us. Yet, somehow we managed to finish the mind map and share to madam. Even if it was a hard time doing, I realize that this mind map online work really help to build our knowledge in creating mind maps online using google docs which might be handy for any of my future undertakings. We also had a quite fun time doing the mind map like joking around and we also add a few shapes in our mind map which was actually useless but made our work fun and cheered us all. Next about EWO, personally, I really liked this task from Madam Mas. this was because I always prefer typing than writing in the traditional way. Plus, doing those essays in google docs made it a lot easier as I could simply open the document anywhere and anytime I want just using my smartphone and edit the text. It created me a lot of space as I could type the essay even on my bed while lying right before hitting my night sleep. From a financial site, I get to save test pads as I get to use it for other subjects (Hihi). Even if at times I was lazy to write a 1-2 paragraph and copied from Google and actually learned a few words and few ways to express an idea from that text I copied. Thus, this EWO task is actually a fun trip for me. All these activities not only help me improve myself but also created time to make the bond with my friends stronger. That's all from me. Lastly, I would like to thank madam for all those memories she helps us to create.
Since our time in KMKK did not much left and the final exam around the corner,i like to thanks madam Khalipah Mastura for being my english lecturer since the first semester.I had learned many things in your class,something that very fun and interesting for me.Before i enter this college my thought is about the lesson that i will learn is going to burden me,but not for english classes because this is more to relax.There are many activities that we do in the english class.Firts,we were created an online mind map.Before this i never know that we can create a mind map using online application,such as google docs.First time i do mind map it is difficult rather than using handwriting,but eventually i get to use it.We can also edit our mind map if there are something wrong,not like handwriting.Second,i had wrote an online writing essay.This is simple task as long as you has an internet connection,you can do it everywhere and anytime its up to you.It can safe our paper,time only write in online that all.Then,the most interesting activity which is fun oral group,by see the word we know that it is fun activity.This activity like ice breaking because it can release our fear to talk in english.We can talk any topics with our group members,
without hesitating or wrong.Furthermore, madam told us to do gallery walk. In this activity,another group will see our work and give comments.From this activity,we can share our knowledge to all classes.fifth,hope tree activity.In trhis activity,we must share our hope in the future.Sixth, we need to make tree map.Tree map like an activity which is you must show the way to make your more interesting in learning English. Seventh, madam told us to do circle map. From this activity,we can get benefits from this activity,circle map is the information transfer system to make something more easy.it only take important points. .Eighth, i have done public speaking in english classroom. This activities have help me to reduce fear when give speech in front of other studentsNinth, madam have told me to do community service project. This is the most memorable thing and I will never forget this activity. This is because me and my friend need to do charity work. So we decide to do charity work at KMKK library. From this activity i can help our librarian to arrange the books and chair in the libhrary. This charity have given many moral values to me. Tenth, the application of GC and GS in ESL classroom. From this activity , i can improve my skill using online application,such as google classroom,docs and many more.

First of all, i would like to thanks madam for all the fun activities provide by you as our learning activity in English language subject. This activity bring so many benefit in increasing our knowledge and capability on how to pronounce, spell and everything in many side such as in international business community, technology field, education, and in the social life. Sometimes i feel so burden to complete the task given due to lack of time or maybe I’m not really good in managing time. But, now i realize English is increasingly used in many places and seems it has been dominate the world communications. So, i have to go through all this and learn as much as i can to improve myself in English skills.
Firstly, Mind Map Online(MMO) is one of the activity have been held during our English period. In this activity, madam provide us three articles with the tittle `Obesity’. We need to read and understand all the articles to construct one mind map about obesity.At first, it was really hard because i need to understand the article and combine the ideas in one mind map. But then i managed to complete everything on time as i push myself to understand the article well. Secondly, we also have done the Essay Writing Online(EWO) in google drive. The essay was been checked by madam immediately as i turn in the essay. This essay already improve my grammar, spelling and also generate my ideas in constructing a sentences according to the the essay format. Next, we also had a Fun Oral Group (FOG) in class. The purpose of this activity is to buid up our confident to speak in English in front of others. Besides,this activity also can strengthen our friendship because we can share anything with them.
After that, we also have a Gallery Walk in the language lab. We can compare our ideas with others and get a lot of new information. Then, we create a hope tree with all my class members. All the goals and vision is put in this hope tree as our target in short terms. Creating a tree map and circle map also the activity which need a brilliant ideas to make it look attractive and good. We also done a public speaking in order to increase our confident and speaking skills in front of people. Last but not least, the most interesting activity in English class that is Community Service Projects. My group choose a kindergarten as our target in this project. We put `A Bundle Of Charity as our tittle group'. This project need a lot of teamwork from the group members to make everything planned go well. In the conclusion, all the activity was really fun and interesting. I hope i can develop all this in my future. Thank you madam:)
During english classes, we usually use the internet because Madam Mas like to teach us using the digital google classroom. This is the first time I had study and doing the task by using the google classroom tools. At first, I dont really like it because I have to use my data. But after many time I had use it, it benefits me such as I can do the task everywhere when free time.
The first task we need to do was the mind map online(MMO) about obesity. We had given the essays about obesity and then we need to point out the important information. Madam had teach us how to do the mind map using google drive. It quite difficult actually rather than using the microsoft. Then we need to do the essay writing online(EMO). I love doing this essay using google drive docs because it have auto spelling correction and auto save. It can save my energy. We also have the fun oral group (FOG) which is we can speak with our group member leisurely. It can improve our speaking skill and avoid the fear of speaking in front of others. Next we did the circle map using a manila card and sticky notes. The topic given was 'stereotype'. After done that, we do a gallery walk to see our friends circle maps. Besides that, we did our hope tree about our targets at madam's cubicle. We also doing the tree map. Other than that, we also have the public speaking. We need to speak about the topic given in front of our group members. Lastly, we had do the charity project and must present it using the google drive presentation.
There are many benefits of this google drive(GD) and google classroom(GC). I like study with Madam Mas because her classes were very fun, interesting and relaxing. Thank you madam... 😘
Being as a matriculation student, a lot of hardship that i have gone through. Many task that could consume much our time to have our time to rest yet end up sleep late at mid night but waking up at early morning. That was casually happen but getting used to it.In my opinion, english task become more complex and need a lot of cooperation from member as many task that related to group activities than what we have done before at our school . Lets get it started with MMO as known as Mind Map Online. At first, i still doubt either i can do it or not. I did not too skillfully in using google docs even i did not getting used yet to it system. It is quite fearsome for me how to done the work but i am glad that i have found my own way and able to finish it at the required date. Another task is Essay Writing Online. Ok, this kind of task is fine for me just type and think and make it done. Even though this task fine with me but i am not guaranteed to done it on exactly date on the day task was given but so far this is fine for me. After that, Fun Oral Group task which encourage us to communicate. This kind of task relate to group activities and need a lot of communication in order to be able to speak in front of our madam by the question that she has brought. At the same time, this kind of task also was practised because our MUET examination is near. Next task is Gallery Walk. This kind of task is group activities but the task is take time to done as we must point out the point as much as we could. Each of member need to contribute an idea to fill in the mind map. Besides that, we have done the Tree Hope . I personally not thought it as a task but it is . It is the easiest task for us as we just point out our hope and stick it to Madam’s Mind Map. Quite enjoyable when revealed to each classmates. We going through with Circle Maps. Frankly, we have many task that relate to mind mind and also this is one of it. I am not quite remember how we done it but i think this is individual task. Then, Community Service Projects. I think this is relate to charity work project. In my perspective, i think this task enhance bound of us with each other member of classmates. In the meantime, we also having a good time to done the task. This kind of task opened and exposed to society so we having a new feeling in doing the task but so far this is quite enjoyable and to be honest i am able to learn create video from this task. Recently,The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom. I thought this the closure of the task in English class. It is quite memorable because i need remind back what we have done so far. In this task also i need to express my expression on each of work. So far i can assume that i often speaking as i was forced myself to speak in doing some of task in class. At here, I would like to share about the MUET’s learning journal of my full semester 1 in Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Kedah. I had spent about half year in semester 1, for that leaving time, my MUET class had done many activities like Mind Map Online (MMO), Essay Writing Online (EWO), Fun Oral Group (FOG), Gallery Walk, Tree Map and Community Service. Mind Map Online was done through google drive in the computer. By using computer, it was easier to find the data and do in the mind map concept a more as we can. If we were doing the mind map by handwriting, more of us will lazy to write more point because it was tried to do. The other reason was our handwriting is not the same and not tidy. That will cause us loss the marks of assignment because lecturer unable to understand what we want to write.

Mind Map Online was done in computer online. This is the first time i knew the existence of google classroom and google drive. Before this i always do computer assignment with microsoft words. After knowing all these things, I am able to do computer assignment more efficiently as I can do it with phone at anytime and anywhere. But there is a small problem with this technology advancement which is the data consumption may be high sometimes and we need to do the work at downstairs for the free wi-fi.

Community Service
Community service is a new activity that i have done as i never plan for a community service project before. Although it may be tough and exhausting when doing the project but after doing it we feel happy as we helped someone indeed.

The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
GD indeed helped me a lot in these days. The introduction of GD let me able to do group project together and we can check others progression, errors and add our ideas in it. This made the group work far more easier to do. For me, i think GC is not very useful as until now i cant use GC for any work or project yet. Maybe it’s because i haven’t know how to properly use it though.

-Mind Map Online is a new way to do notes.With this Mind Map we can summarise an essay and take up the main point .It is way more simple way to read rather than writing a whole essay.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
-EWO is better than EWT(Essay Writing Traditionally).Because with writing essay in paper we will lost the paper but with the help of internet we can save the essay in google drive whive can’t be lost.Besides that we can add our friends to suggest some ideas and edit our corrections.
3.Fun Oral Group (FOG)
-In this activity we can improve our communication skills and we also can know more about our friends.Even though u are weak in English speaking we can participate in this because we are only talking with our friends.
4.Gallery Walk
--On this activity we divided into few groups and given task to list our points about the title. And then we wrote our points in a colour paper and pasted in wall.Next the others groups came, see our points and and write their additional points in the empty space.This give us more point of the topic which is very good.
5.Hope Tree
-In this activity we given a task to do to give our hope on that week task on sticky notes and paste in colour paper. With this lecturer will know more about students and what they want and what they are weak in. Then the lecturer can help their student on their weakness on that week. This strengthen the students and lectures bonding.

-With this activity we able list out the main points and list it out in order about the topic. With this we able tl get an overview of the topic and able to do the essay easily.
7.Circle Maps
-In this activity, we able to brainstorm our ideas and showing prior knowledge about a topic.We write the points which are related in the circle and the points which are not related outside the circle. With this we can know the important points and write our essay correctly.
8.Public Speaking
-With this we able to speak English confidently in front of friends. Even though some of us not able to speak fluently the lecturer cheer up us which strengthen our self confidence.
9.Community Service Projects
-This would be my favorite project, because my group interact a lot to do this work and got a lot of moral values. We strengthen our friendship bond with working together. Helping others makes our heart satisfied because life is about give and take. This activity fill up our leisure time by doing good things.

-With the use of GC we able to save our all of our work in a file which is even more save rather than writing on paper which will wasting papers and destroying our nature. Moreover we can do the project anywhere anytime with the help of teacher because it is a non face to face communication.

10.The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
GD can help me share my assignment to lecture anytime. It is a simple software to write essay, do slide show and also share picture and video. GC is software to share the essy to us and we comment on it. In opinion Gd is a good software for student because it can do anything.
When I heard that we would be using Google for our class, I could not but excited that we would try to use a different approach to education. After all, I was from an extremely traditional secondary school that the teacher rarely using Electronic Appliance for education purpose and the school even rejected the government proposal of being a few test school for the usage of mobile school in classes.
At first, the idea of google classroom allows us to keep in touch and giving assignment more easily even when the students or teacher is unable to make it for the class.
Another problem, I notice about the application of Google Classroom was suffered by the inability me to understand the effective use of Google Classroom. When I trying to do any assignment, I would find myself facing difficulty trying to use the Google Doc and only with teacher help, I could understand how to use it but the time used to understand it has taken more time than usual pencil and book method and have minimum improve in efficiency.
Before I was here I understand the usage of a mind map, but I find that for me Mind Map are quite ineffective for me because of my complicated think method. However, I would give my opinion to my classmates and let them differentiate between the main point and supporting details.
Mind map in my opinion, i found out that Mind map rather than letting you sorting out your points when writing essay, more useful in delivering your points to others in the most simplified way.
When making the Mind Map Online and Tree Map, the same issue occurred on myself, which is that I’m unable to use Google Docs efficiently, which resulted in slow performance on making the mind map, only to be relieved my classmates who kinda grasp onto how to make a mind map using Google Docs .
I would said that this is one of the more convenient things after you have a good grasp on the basic of Google Docs . At first , you can do an essay anywhere as long as you have a computer or handphone which have access to Google Docs . Secondly , you would not have an issue of lacking paper to write an essay and saving my paper , ink and liquid paper.
On a second note , the technical limitations on Google side to persistently not renew or update the info of the essay on a 4G data network on smartphones is the only inconvenient i found from this .
A way to brainstorm some ideas out in an instant is an important aspect for having enough time to write an essay. It could be an effective method to develop deep thoughts when it comes to making an interesting, unorthodox and unconventional essay which challenges current perspective . However , during the entire event , I feel a little bit disappointed that there is not anyone try to come out with an interesting point but just repeating the textbook answer to the topic . I feel like being capable to think from many sides is an important thing for the future but i am not blaming them for being like that because they are not involved in debate (in which i have involved in debate-like event with ridiculous motion ).Hope Tree.A basic idea to make you write down your hope or actually to set up your target unconsciously to make you more prepared for exam .
Community service project.An interesting project in Semester 2 that required us to go around the college to help theCollege staff. I would say that it was an enjoyable experience to be able to help the college staff sometimes and contribute to the college community . The most important things that i had learned from this activity is how planning and preparation is important to make a successful project and teamwork .More info at the essay .
Fun Oral Group and Group Speaking I felt unease when i involved in this project as my English Speaking Capacity is insufficient to talk fully in English with the issue of lacking vocabulary and full understanding of proper grammar, crippling my abilities to speak fluent English. MMO is a highly effective way of getting information in and out of your brain. Mind mapping online is a creative and logical means of note-taking and note-making that literally "maps out" your ideas that is create online in google drive. For this activity, It is a great platform for us as we can easily swipe our phone and search for our map online to review or do summary. But, as I do not have much knowledge on IT and just a beginner, my work is not good and creative like others.
2. Essay Writing Online
As for me, EWO is more effective in learning today. But, it has pros and cons itself. For example, when madam giving me a task, we can easily do it through phone rather than need to take out paper and pen to start writing. It actually save our time because we can continue our work anytime and anywhere with just an internet. But sometimes, when we got an internet problem, it may affect our time and causing delayed work.

When I heard about this activity, I become nervous and anxiety. Why not. It's about talking with others. As all of us are not really know each other yet, I do feel very anxious. In this activity,we can always voice out our thoughts or ideas freely so as to make the task more enjoyable. As for me, I do not talk much during the activity. From this activity, I realize that Madam want to boost our confidence level and be more sociable.

Gallery Walk is a classroom-based active learning strategy where students are encouraged to build on their knowledge about a topic or content to promote higher-order thinking,interaction and cooperative learning. From this activity, I managed to increase my knowledge by viewing other’s idea and creativity on their points. Indirectly, it widen our perspective and information about topic that we have working on.

For this activity, we have been asked to write down our hope and wishes on the sticky note and paste it on the sketched hope tree on manila card. I was so glad. I wrote down my wishes and hope I can fulfill it in the future. It’s give me a motivation and spirit for me to achieve that dreams.

Tree map is actually one of the mind map that is used to show clearly the point for summarizing notes or whatever. For this activity, we doing this activity by manually and online with google drive. As for me, I more interest in doing manually as we can decorate more creatively and easy. When doing it online, it cause a limited space and it is hard to make it more interesting.

I can see that many ideas coming out when we discussing and generate the ideas. I can see clearly that this activity is widen our knowledge on topic that we discussing on.

MMO is one of the activities that help me to learn how to do a mind map in the computer. From, this activity i have used is Google Docs as the medium to do the mind map online. In my perspective, it is more easier to do the mind map online than to make it on handwriting.

Essay writing online did not surprised me because i have done a lot of essay in online before this. It is not hard for me to do it because i can use my knowledge that i have learnt when writing the essay. FOG is something that is important for me to improve my speaking skills. Before the activity start, we need to have some warm up session. This activity need us to speak at least for 5 minutes. Public speaking is such a great thing to do to improve our speaking skill and the most importantly our self confident. We can talk anything about our topics and helps us to build our self confident while improving our speaking skills.
9.Community Service Projects
Community service projects is the biggest task or project for me. This task was given to run a charity project with objective to help other people. After Madam Mas has divided us in a few groups, we need to discuss many things about the project such as our target group, allocate tasks and when the project will be running. All this activity encourage us to manage a project well and to have self responsibility while doing the project.

This activity is really help me to explore more about writing an essay. From this activity, i can all my classmates essays to compare and to analyse their essay by applying the GC and GD that i have learnt before. I also need to comment on 15 essays of my classmates including mine. From that i can analyze all of the essay and compare to make my essay writing better.
Alhamdulillah. Now I can write something with no condition. I will make this journal best I can so everyone can read and laugh. Today, our beautiful Madam gave us a relax task which is to write a journal. Now I need to recall all the activities I have done in the past semester until today. We have done a lot of activities and we created a lot of precious moments together.
First of all, the introduction of the 20th-century class, we need to use 99% of the technology around us. For the first time, I know that Google Drive has many functions and benefits that we can use in our educational sessions. It's a bit awkward to use for education as I use it to play games and find something that's not related to education. When Madam Mas said to create a Mind Map using Google Drive, I just "how can I create a mind map using this?" While looking for a mind map mark. That day, I realized that I am not a Tech Professor like what my father called. Pity me. Now, Madam Mas and my friends is my “Sensei Tech” and they teach me to use google drive.
Now we know how to use Google Drive, all our work or homework using google drive and google classroom. Unfortunately, Google class is a very smart app. Although one day I was late sending my assignment, the google class would tell Madam Mas that I was late sending my assignment. It is tough, right? Is it difficult if we postponed our task? Yes, I learned from this application. However, I explored more about this smart app and I found it very useful that will help us in doing our job. Our next task was to make an essay also use google drive. This task helps me to make preparation for my MUET exam. I have done a lot of essays. I am sure that my grammar is not good at all but I keep trying even I know a lot of mistakes I made while I write this journal. I wrote various topics such as about Competition, obesity and charity work. I got more knowledge while I make a research about my topic will I write.
Next, our activity is Oral Fun Group or FOG. FOG is the best part because in this activity we can have conversations and share stories with our classmates. Some have a good time and some do not, especially after we have a short vacation. Some will share their vacation with their families and some say: "I did nothing at home, just eat and sleep and help my parents". It's great to meet this cute and good classmate. However, it's a funny part when girls in class B say their boys in class B to stay silent and not play like boys in class A. I do not expect it but we are not racist to each other because some of us come from the same school. The idea is very good if we have a 5-minute sharing session as this will make us more close to each other.
Our next activity is walking the gallery. walking the gallery is an activity that can expand our idea of a topic. we can share ideas with each other. Maybe we have different ideas and opinions, but we share all the ideas we have. some people can think out of the box but we do not see the idea. This activity is also a very interesting activity because Madam Mas wants us to give as many ideas as possible in a few minutes so that we learn about brainstorming as much as possible in a short time. Activities are very helpful before we take the MUET exam. In this activity, I also found that I was in an elite group in English subjects. I was puzzled when other friends talked and communicated in English and I also realized that I could reply back to what they were saying. That's one of my biggest achievements in this subject. At the same time, we learned about circle map. Circle map is the one way to list out our ideas that we have

Today, Madam Mas gave us a task to make a learning journal about all the activities that
me and my classmate had done during English class from the beginning of Matric till now.So
I have to recall back from the start, searching for my memory files and confess how do I feel
during those activities.There are a lot of activities were done during the past such as
MMO,FOG and even Community service.There is more but I will get there and a lot of
feelings need to be confess.Sweet and bitter memories were created during those precious
moment.
Mind Map Online (MMO)
The first activity that me and my classmate had done is the MMO which is the Mind Map
Online which need to be done via Google Drive.Boy,I still remember that moment,that is the
first time Madam Mas introduced us with the Google Drive.While Madam gather our
email,the people who had access into the group document in Google Drive,they started
typing random words includes me and change the document to random
colours.Anyway,proceed to the MMO,it was actually a bit hard because I’m lacking of
experience using Google Drive.So,I don’t know how to make the boxes and circle for the
mind map properly.At last,after a lot of try and errors and also brainstorming for ideas, I
finish the task in the nick of time.I still have it though,the file of my mind map inside my
Google Drive.
Essay Writing Online (EWO)
Moving to the next activity which is EWO which is the Essay Writing Online.Boy,that
activity is not my cup of tea.It was really hard task because we need to make a table first
about thesis statement,topic sentence and even example.Things went worst with Madam
nagging about why we didn’t continue the task at home.Man,I’m pissed at that moment
because I did a little bit but she scolded me because not finished completely (derp face).
Anyway,I finish the task anyway and submitted it early because I finished it that night to
avoid another scold.
Tree Map
On the mid of August 2018,Madam gave us another new activity which is the Tree Map.We
need to make a tree map about stereotypes.So Madam gave us a task to make a Tree Map
about it,the advantage,disadvantage effect and more.After we finish the tree map, guess
what? We need to present it,oh why not another oral activity but this time in front of the
whole class.After the presentation is over,I thought everything is over but guess what,the
real task has begun.Yeah,we need to transfer our Tree Map information into an online Tree
Map.What a pain in the butt.Well,at least we learn how to make a Tree Map using a Google
Drive.Well it’s kinda hard,to maintain the space in the document but we did it anyways.Well
that’s it for me at the Tree Map activity.
The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
First time I’ve heard about the Google Drive,all I could think of is a place where you kept
your file online.Boy,I was wrong about that.Apparently there is more than meets the eye,we
can make a classroom online by using Google Drive.I was shocked by this,and I was interest
on the upcoming activities that involve Google Drive but my interest came short because I
got bored with all of the essays and mind maps Madam gave me.Anyway,it is a great
platform.Kudos to Madam Mas for introduces us to a great platform such as Google
Drive.Not only Google Drive Madam introduced us but also Google Classroom, another
platform that Madam used a lot.I like the platform but I don’t like the tasks that Madam
asked to do in this platform.This is because we need to list down all the facts that we got in
a website or a video depend on the task.But,I just don’t care,all I care is the mark that I got
from doing this task.Overall this task is great,another Kudos to Madam Mas.

Hello and good morning madam. From my opinion, I think create tree map in Google Drive has pros and cons. In a positive side, it will help us to view our tree map anywhere even we can save it as back up when we have a troubleshoot. We just need to open Google docs on our smartphone. In negative side, I think it is hard for us to complete it as sometimes, we have problems to connect with data and internet. It's also hard for us to design as we don't have a good knowledge in IT. But from doing this activity, I think at least we can learn how to use Google Drive to make up a mind map online. Then, out IT knowledge also will improves to a better IT user.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
writing online is much easier than writing by hand. this is because writing online our work will become more faster.
3. Fun Oral Group (FOG)
Fun Oral Group make us know about out friend also improve our communication skills. Even though some of the student can’t speak well, the tried to speak in english. Trough that, we can learn and improve our skills.
4.Gallery Walks
In this activity in our class, we divided into a few groups. Madam gave us a title about something and we must read and understand about the title then we must give our point. This strengthen the students and lectures bonding.
5.Hope Tree
I think my hope did come true though for semester 1 and i hope that in semester 2 my hope will continue to come true.
6. Tree Map
In this activity, we must list down our main point, after that we have to describe the main point into something else. We did this Tree Map in Google Drive which is easier to us to be more creativity.
7. Circle Maps
It also same make a simple note and a conclude of the title . we can use this circle map on our life to simplify the note.
8. Public Speaking
With this we able to speak English confidently in front of friends. Even though some of us not able to speak fluently the lecturer cheer up us which strengthen our self confidence.
9. Community Service Project
The impact from this charity project is improved my collaboration with team member when doing this project.I will be sure when we do it something with another person to make that thing success,it need strong teamwork for each member to understand what is their mission and role to do for something that they want to achieve.In this situation,all of my group know and understand their mission and roles for this project.It make this charity project is going smoothly success and make my collaboration with each team members to be more strong than before.In addition, teamwork of members is one important thing to make sure something to be success or not.
10. The Application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
This kind of activity actually really help me and my friend to do their homework or task given by lecturers. for example if out lecturer want to give last minute tutorial or task, she/he will directly email us and shared the new task given. we as student can easily finished our task given anywhere at anytime

This is our first activity by using Google Drive.. For this project we have to create a mind map about obesity in GD.. From this activity i can know how to create a best mind map. By using this GD, i can save the usage of paper, ink and others.. The most important thing, it can also save my precious time, this is because, i can use this GD wherever and whenever i want to complete my work.. GD is not only on pc but i can use in by my phone.. Thats why its save my time..
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
For essay writing online, we have to do an essay on competition is necessary to achieve success. We also have to complete it on GD. Before doing the essay, we have to find the point that we want to write about the essay as many as we can. For this essay, we decided to find the advantages and disadvantages about competition is necessary to achieve success. We managed to find enough point for our essay writing. For me it is quite fun when we do our work using IT because me as teenager like to use spend most of our time on IT.
4.Gallery Walk
For this gallery walk, each group must come out with their own points from the topic given by madam. we must write down our points and sticked it on the manila card. after that, we put the manila card at every corner of Language Lab.. then we have to walk to the every corner to see what our friends had wrote down on their manila card. we can add our point to theirs and also jot down their points that we don't have. from this activity. we can exchange our opinion with each other.
5.Hope Tree
This activity, we must go to madam's table to write down our hope on sticky notes and sticked it on the manila card which is the hope tree… every student should take part in this activity.. madam said we can write on whatever we want on that hope tree.. from this activity, madam can know about our gope there..
6.Tree Map
We did this tree map on GD. for me it's quite interesting because we can just complete this task on our pc or phone.. to complete this tree map, we have to find some point on the topic given which is COMPETITION TRIGGER OUR MIND.. Then, we have to organise the point in a mind map in order to make more clear when we write the essay..
7.Circle Maps
Circle Maps can help us define a thing or idea. It is used to brainstorm ideas and for showing prior knowledge about a topic. For this circle maps, we can write down all of our opinion whether it is right or wrong because it is just the brain storming.. after all of us have give our opinion, we discuss whether the opinion is relevant or not.. this activity help us to think widely...
8.Public Speaking
Actually i don't really like when it come to public speaking session..hahah.. But, this activity help me a lot in order to speak in front of people. this activity is one of the activities that help me alot in MUET speaking last session… thanks to madam.. this activity also help to boost my confidence level to talk to other people in english.
9.Community Service Projects
We have done this project on last November and we decided to do our community service at surau Al-Jazari. This project have taught me that community service can help you release your stress and make you become happy. This is because we feel satisfy when we see people are happy using the surau after we have done the community service. Their happiness becomes our happiness.

gallery walk is very fun. On this activity, we divided into few groups and given task to list our points about the title. And then we wrote our points in a colour paper and pasted it on the wall. another groups came, see our points and write their additional points in the empty space . This help us to improve our knowledge for the topic that given to us.

during the ending of semester 1, madam provides an opportunity for us to write the words themselves to become better and more useful in the future.

With tree maps, we can create a summary by taking the important content of an article and make it brief and concise. This is because, tree map I think it is usually made simply by using the contents that were important. In conclusion, tree map an easy way to conclude important content and points.

Circle maps is done by group. After we got our title, we found the points with explore the internet, books or by the other ways. After we found our points, we used the sticker notes to write down our points and paste on a manila cad.

This activity can increase my self confidence and makes me more brave and also can eliminate fear and shame to speak English.

Community service project was great because my group interact a lot to do this work and got a lot of moral values. This activity fill up our leisure time by doing good things. We choose our charity with tidy up our surau college, so we can make it faster and done before the due date.

The first day of english class with madam Mas is like ordinary class. We introduce ourselves to know each other and create a good bonding. First time I see Madam Mas, I think she is a nice person because she is so cheerful in our first day. The next day Madam Mas is totally not the person that I met yesterday. When we enter the class, she not smile at us like yesterday and has some scary face. I do not know what we have done until she start to talk and scold us because enter her class late. Other than that,she frustrated because we not say sorry at her when enter the class and still can smile to each other like we do not make mistake. From that day all of us feel guilty and promise that we will not repeat that mistake anymore. Thankfully Madam Mas has a warm heart and the next class she become a person that I met on the first day. Madam Mas said that she will teach us using the modern technology in english subject.

Madam Mas introduce us to google classroom and teach us how to use it. The first task that Madam ask us to create using computer is mind map. In the beginning I truly blank and does not know how to create mind map in computer. I have create many mind map but with free hand not a computer so i feel a little bit awkward. After Madam Mas explain to us the right way to build a mind map in the computer and then she ask us to try it at hostel. That evening i open my laptop and try to create my own mind map with the instruction that Madam Mas give. It was so hard but after i discover all the application in the google classroom, i realise that it was not so hard. The result also were very nice if we compare to the free hand mind map because i this apps there are many attractive pattern of mind map. It also look clean and nice. I also use the help from the google to see few design of mind map that is suitable.
Moreover, I use the help from youtube on how to build complicated shape like cloud. We need to create a mind map about obesity so i want to create a mind map with some food theme. Even though the process is hard and complicated but the result are very great. Madam Mas really like my design.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
The second activity that Madam Mas carry out in the google classroom is essay writing. She ask everyone to write an essay about anything. The essay need to be written in the google classroom so that she can see the progress of our work. Then I decide to write about something that i love and cannot forget in high school. I write about my experience enter marching band from form 1 until form 5. Truly I said that this online writing was very good because I can write the essay everywhere when free in my phone. I does not need to open laptop or went to cyber cafe to write my essay. This help my work to be finish early than the given due. This also can save my time so I can do another homework. Other than that, i also use the benefit of google translate to find some word that i do not know. I also search for some example of essay that i can refer in completing my writing.
3.Fun Oral Group (FOG)
The third activity that being held by Madam Mas is Fun Oral Group. Madam Mas has divided us into a few fair group and give some topic for us to discuss. Then Madam Mas and classmate will hear our discussion. Before the discussion all of my group make some research on the topic that we get and divided all the [point so everyone have something to talk. We share some ideas and this activities help help to break our nervous. We all just met and still have a gap between our bonding. So this activities make us to talk to each other and thuis has create a good bonding between us. The moment when i need to talk in front of the classmate with my group have make me become more confident. Before this i feel scare because i am not good in english. After this activities i do not feel scare because i have my friend that support me and correct all my mistake. And this activities also teach me the important of teamwork. If we not work together, for sure we cannot discuss the topic that Madam Mas give.
4.Gallery Walk
Gallery walk is the forth activities that madam mas held in her class. Madam Mas ask us to build on our knowledge about a topic or content to promote higher-order thinking, interaction and cooperative learning. We need to create a circle map. We use google to get some information about the topic that she give. That we write it on sticky note and paste it on a manila card. She also ask us to design it to look more interesting.
After that all the group stick all their circle map around the classroom and everyone must walk to all the maps. We can stick our opinion on the others circle map and also take the other new information from the other group. I think this activities are so useful because i always feel sleep in the classroom. This activities help me to get up and walk around to see the others opinion and this make me feel less sleepy.
5.Hope Tree
After finish class, madam mas ask my class to go to her place. We all do not know why she ask us to go to her place. When we go to her place, i see a big manila card and it is full of blank sticky notes. I read the title and it said “Hope Tree”. Then madam mas ask us to write our hope on that week and then write that we achieved our hope or not.
This is so good because it help us to focus on our target. Other than that, if we feel give up and have trouble, this hope tree will recover our spirit. And finally it will tell us our that we have achieve our hope or not by the end of the semester.
6.Tree Map
Tree Map is the sixth activity that Madam Mas ask us to carry out. She asks give us manila card and a pack of sticky note to build a tree map. I and my group share our idea and after finish make some research about the topic that Madam Mas give. It is so fun because before this I do not know what is tree map. I just know mind map only. With this activity, I can exchange many of information with my classmate.
After finish creating our tree map, Madam Mas ask everyone to recreate the tree map that we have done using google drive. She wants to see our creativity and our skill in using computer. Thankfully, it is same like creating mind map so I have known the way to do it. I use the help from google to refer some creative design of tree map, then I recreate it with my own style. Honestly I said that creating tree map in google drive is take time but it give a beautiful result.
7.Circle Maps
Furthermore, Madam Mas give a task to create a circle map. This is first time I hear it. Before this I only know mind map. Circle map is the tools to help define a thing or idea. It is used to brainstorm ideas and for showing prior knowledge about a topic. To build circle map, we need to make a big circle with the main topic at the centre and their details around it. Like always, my group use google to find all the point about that topic that Madam Mas gives.
Now I know that circle map and tree map is same like mind map. The different between all this is just it shape.
8.Public Speaking
This is the task that I really scare, public speaking. One-day Madam Mas enter the class and say that she will held public speaking. Everyone can choose any topic to be talk and give one day to prepare. i went back to hostel and make some research about the topic that I need to talk. I write some important point that may help me if I forget or stuck during giving my speech.
The next day, before everybody do their public speaking, Madam Mas ask everyone to divide into few group and do some free talk about anything. She said that this like a warm up and can reduce some nervous before give our speech. She is right, I feel a little bit nervous but then everything going well and I can give my speech smoothly. I feel very happy because now I feel confident to talk in front of others
9.Community Service Projects
For the English subject we had received a task to carry out a charity projects. This project should be work on by group. Madam Mas divide us into three group and I were in a group that we can say 1 Malaysian. In this group there are two chinese, two indian and I am the only one malay. At the beginning I feel a little bit awkward when discuss about the project with my teammates. All of them come out with a good idea but I am just keep silent because I do not have any idea about what charity project that we can carry out. I think this will be a hard project because of the communication problem between my teammate.
Then my expectation is totally wrong, all of them are very sporting. They ask me about some opinion and then suddenly I come out with the idea to clean up the laboratory. All of them agree with my suggestion and Madam Mas also agree with it. I think this team are the havoc team than the others team. From this project there are few impacts that are really useful to me and my teammates. I hope our relay with my teammates is remain nicely and not gone after the project done.

Honestly this is first time I make my resume. Resume is the important thing and it is use to apply scholarship, job and many more. Thankfully there is many example in google that I can refer in doing this task. Other than that, there is application in google to create a beautiful template for our resume. This application really helps me in completing my task.
Then, we need to create personal statement. Personal statement need to be send with the resume. In personal statement we need to tell about before, present and past. this is important because it tell who we are, our attitude, leadership and many more. I really thaks to Madam Mas because if she not taught us about this, we may not know the right way to create resume.
First of all, i felt very awkward to use technology to make work but I have learned many things in English classes with Madam Khalipah Mastura. Her class was very interesting because I have learned and done a lot of something new which is I never done before. i have to make a mind map with a computer , essay writing and so on.
For the first task Madam ask to make a mind map(MMO) with a computer.Its take a time because it is first time to me make a mind map using a computer.Before this i just used paper and pencil.Next we do a Essay Writing Online(EWO). EWO is a platform to training writing with keyboard.It is very useful when we work later.It is very good because the others subject not used this method.When we used the computer to writing it have auto correct spelling.Thats make we more attention about spelling when do a essay. Experience level of writer would come helpful and can bring you extra marks.
Fun Oral Group (FOG) is a new to me also.This activity is good to improve our speaking to make it more fluently and clearly before we do a public speaking or presentation.Gallery Walk is the activity we have to walk and saw the others group idea.From this activity can avoid student felt sleepy.In addition,i can see so many brilliant idea from my friends which is really creative and intelligent.We also do Hope Tree, Tree Map, Circle Maps.
For the Community Service Projects, my group do a project cleaned a sport store room that called beautiful storeroom.Many things i learned from this project.For the all activities, what i can say to madam is thank you because that a interesting activities although it take times and a little hard.Last but not least what madam already teach and memory with madam in this college I will remember until I lose my life and a lot of new things that I never did before and it was very helpful and meaningful. Thank you Madam :-)
1.Mind Map Online (MMO)
Mind map online is a method for us to do mind map after reading the articles in Google Drive. Before this,I always confused and misunderstood with the articles that I read.Doing mind map is definitely helping me to arrange my mind and the point that we can abstract from the articles.At first,I think that doing mind map is very tough because I do not know how to pick up the main points because I totally have no idea about it.I felt like want to escape from doing the task that Madam Mas gave to us.However,we have to face the reality too.Lastly, I tried my best to understand the articles and do the mind map.At that moment,I finally know the importance and advantage of doing mind map.This is a very important skill for us to arrange the important points that we abstract from any references or articles.
Next, doing the mind map online is better than doing traditionally which is by handwriting. It is because my handwriting is not neat and tidy.Thus , doing the mind map online is helping me to have a neat and tidy page . Doing mind map online is easier than doing by handwriting because we can adjust the font and size of the words or even the position.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
Essay Writing Online is a new thing for me.It is because I had used to write essay on paper before this.This is actually good for us to keep our essay because the Google Docs is always auto saving the information that we typed in the docs.No matter where we are , as we have smartphone or laptop and wifi or mobile data ,we can do our task everywhere and anytime.
However, it is quite annoying when there is no wifi or mobile data.This is because doing the task need to be online . Thus,when the wifi or mobile data is absent or weak,our tasks are disturbed.
3.Fun Oral Group (FOG)
I love this activity so much as this activity not only gives us a lot of fun but it helps us to increase our proficiency in spoken English.At first I felt awkward because I do not know my classmates yet and we had not being friends at that time.So I was shy to speak English in front of them to express what I want to say.
This is the activity before we start our group discussion.It is very important as a warm up activity before speaking.I think that this activity is really work as a warming up.It enables us to speak more fluent after that.This makes me feel better in speaking with the other.It is quite fun as we just enjoyed a bit of chitchat before group discussion which is more serious.
4.Gallery Walk
Gallery walk is an activity after we completed our mind map.This activity enables us to explore more ideas.It makes us thinking out of box.Sharing is caring , we also share our ideas or suggestion to the other.I get a lot of new knowledges and ideas from my friends as they all are very generous to give me suggestion.Through this activity,I can correct my mistakes and improve my English.
I really appreciate because I can boost my mind with the combination ideas of my friends and I.This is definitely help me to get more ideas in writing essay.It is because I actually do not have much ideas before that.I am not enough creative and knowledgeable.
5.Hope Tree
Hope tree is a list that we wrote down our wish and expectation.This is important for us to write down our target.The whole class wrote down the wishes in one piece of Manilla card.It enables us to share our expectation to each other.The hope tree is quite useful for me to set the target.
The hope tree makes me feel motivated as it reminded me my target every time I looked at it.Thus,I would not forget my target and get spirit to achieve it.This is definitely help me in doing work efficiently and achieving my expectation to improve myself.
6.Tree Map
Tree map is a kind of i think map that we had done in Google Classroom.We had completed it together in a group.This enables us to combine and share our ideas.We wrote down the points and ideas into the tree map.After that , we arranged it properly.
This helps us to elaborate our points and explore the ideas in an essay.This is used for classifying and grouping.We can sort ideas into categories or groups. I like it as we can arrange the point properly.This method is useful for me in writing essay or arranging our ideas.
7.Circle Maps
Circle map is also a kind of the i think map.It states the source ang references of our ideas.From this, we can know that where should we gather the informations.This enables us to write down our ideas before arranging them.
I like it because it does not limit us the ideas and creativity.There is no limit to the number of items we can add to the circle.This skill is easy and suitable to list down all the ideas.It brainstorm ideas and show prior knowledge about a topic.
8.Public Speaking
This is an activity that we have to present our slide show in front of our classmates.I was nervous when I had to do this activity at first.I can speak out a single thing as I was too panic and shy to talk in front of our classmates.
However, after a few times of presentations, my situation becomes better and I can speak normally in front of our classmates.I adapted the feeling of nervous while doing presentation .It becomes better after the presentations in class.
9.Community Service Projects
Nowadays,we are too busy until we forget about the others.This is an good opportunity for us to take care of the others who need.We can help the other through this project.
I felt happy when I was doing this project.This is because I was satisfied when helping the others.The project is so meaningful and avoiding us to do the activities that will waste our time.I can pass my leisure time meaningfully.
10.The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
This gives us a lot of advantages.Our learning process becomes easier using GC and GD.This is because we can complete our tasks no matter when and where we are.This definitely helped us in increasing our efficiency to complete our tasks before deadline.
This helped us to avoid procrastinating.Our tasks can be complete faster and easier.

First of all, I want to say that English is a fun language to be learned. I am more thankful that I got to learn English with you. You have taught us so many new things that we never know before this. Your teaching style are really enjoyable and interesting. I have never get bored when it comes to English subject. This mind map really teaches me in various aspect to guide in learning progress.For example,it teaches me to always organize our information in right order where we can refer it back we necessary.Moreover,this MMO is set online.Therefore,we can surf internet to read it at anywhere as desired.
Besides,MMO also give me chances to use and learn more about computer where it is important to acknowledge about computer where in this modern life,student like me really needs to know about I.T to adopt the new style of learning.Besides,it is fantastic and exciting experience of using more technology rather than just learning just theory.
In Conclusion, this really effective method in guiding us student in learning session and to adopt with the unpredictable changes of this life.
2.ESSAY WRITING ONLINE
Again,this is new style of learning can attract student’s interest to love and wanting to learn English or other subject related because it is no fun when we learn just by writing essay on a paper when we can use new method like typing on computer.
It also has side benefit where it can auto-correct our spelling that will reduce our time for checking our spelling error.Besides,in the internet,we could find more information as a guide and helps to elaborate our ideas supporting with a strong evidence.
As conclusion,in my opinion EWO is 2 times better than writing just on a paper.
3.FUN ORAL GROUP
This is the best ways of speaking learning method that really effective.It is because as a beginner speaker it will absolutely difficult because of the unusual and awkward moment where students really do not have any word to say.
Fun Oral several members that gather together to say something using simple English word to ensure all members in the group will learn to be focus and understand well what the speaker trying to deliver.
If they has get use to it,the group could go to the next level of English language where regular vocab is used more likes amiable which means diffusing warmth and friendliness,arcane means requiring secret or mysterious knowledge and more.
In conclusion,we really get s bunch of benefit from FOG that also help us before the MUET test.
4.GALLERY WALK
Gallery walk is the most activity that I like because it take much time to relax and let my brain to think in peace without forces like I experience in other class.
I admit that I could be so stress in science class,but since my life principle says that the more adventure the knowledge I am facing the more interesting it is.
Therefore,in English class I will use the chance to release my tension and be more positive.
5.HOPE TREE
What i remember from this hope tree,it's more to hoping something from our teacher and to grand the wish.It is because we give all our hope for this semester for English subject and paste it on hope tree.Therefore,our lecturer try to figure out a way to help students to achieve the target.
At the end,we have made to achieve what we were hoping to get.For examples,we desire to be a good listener and after been following all the activities made by our lecture which is Madam Mastura,we now able to be a good speaker.
6.TREE MAP
For the tree map,I remember about doing it online and using manila card.But,I prefer more to do tree map because it needs my own fresh creativity.We were separated in team.So we got about 5 group in total.5 of this group implement the task and as the result,we got about 5 tree maps.
Therefore,we can walk a bit and see a lot of fantastic creativity.
7.CIRCLE MAP
Circle map is also a method that we regularly use in expressing our ideas from a source.This activity is the other part of activity we run in the the same day.Our groups are free to paste our on ideas about the topics on ours tree map.
Besides,we are presenting our tree maps with wonderful creativity and ideas.In each circle map includes a lot of short information that we could understand in instant.
As conclusion,gallery walk,circle map and tree is one of method and i think maps respectively that we could use in learning progress in long learning period.

Since I enter the College Matriculation Engineering Kedah ,many things that I need to do and all is not easy to do but I keep be strong.Last semester,many activities I have been doing in subject of English and it’s very fun and challenging to me because I’m not very well in English.Along the English class ,there are many advantages when I give 100 focus on what lecture teach on me and my friends.My lecture is very happy person and patient person.
1.Mind Map Online(MMO) (9.8.2018)
Mind Map Online is one of activities that I do in English class and its use google document to make a mind map.Honestly, it’s was my first time doing that task otherwise before that i'm just doing mind map in mahjong paper by handwriting and I'm more comfortable with it but everything changed when I taught a new method .At first by doing that it was quite difficult but eventually it easy if I do it over and over again.The topic of mind map is obesity.In the mind map I stated facts,factor,effect,disease and prevent.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO) (12.5.2018)
This essay writing online is a medium which make it easier to all student who want make essay in online.This task using google document and shared with lecturers to monitor the work done by students and marking up.Writing online can make student sensitive to spelling because it will showing spelling mistakes and it’s will suggest it the correct spelling for it.In this case , I get topic of competition is necessary to achieve success and I must write essay at least 350 words.First of all ,I have to make structure of essay for paragraph 1 until paragraph 5.In the paragraph I need to fill in thesis statement,supporting details, examples and conclusion.After that, I need transfers all it to in the form of essays.

This activity is very challenging for me because it needs to have good communication skills. However, I have no skills. However, I still do it while being guided by skilled partners. Furthermore, they are fluent in English and are not stuck when they talk. The work is done for preparations in the MUET examination to be performed soon.Therefore, our task is divided into several groups to practice speaking.
4.Gallery Walk (25 August 2018)
Gallery walk is one of learning strategy to make student move and encouraged to build a knowledge of topics discussed.This learning methods can promote higher order thinking interaction and cooperative learning.It is a great way to get students out of their seats and moving around the classroom.I must go walk around class to see other results mind maps from other team.Besides seeing a map of mind mind ,I also added new point for other mind map.
5.Hope Tree
Hope Tree is one of the fields to express our hope in writing. This is published by our lecturers and every student he teaches needs to fill the hope tree.From that, lecturers can identify the expectations expressed in their students. The expectations I wrote in this are I hope to be able to learn English well and to speak the words correctly and eloquently. In addition, I hope that I will be more proficient in the.from the lecturer's research on it, he seemed more eager to fulfill our wishes to achieve the expectations of his students.Therefore, I wish I can make my hope can be true.
6.Tree Map
Tree Map use by using in google drive.The topic of map is competition and I need to brainstorm to make some contains.In that progress of brainstorm very challenging to me.It need to take time of 12 minutes to make some contains.In this activity divided by group and each group have 3 members.After that ,we need to transfer all contain our idea to google drive in the form of a map.From that,we divided our task to easier our task so we can finish early.
7.Circle Maps
Circle maps is is used to brainstorm ideas and for showing prior knowledge about a given topic.this activity is very challenging as it is necessary to brainstorm the contents of the topic. The title given is a contest and it should be taken into account after being given by the lecturer and the time given is only 20 or 30 minutes as I remember. Previously, we were divided some groups to do the activity. After we have to put those contents into the map but the map.

Public speaking is one of activity I don't like it because I was little bit nervous about it and my talk is stuck because of i don't have skills in speech.But I think positive about it and continue my speech.Before starting my speech my nervous was less but after it , my heart pulsed very high like want to go out.

Community service projects one of task that I like this is because these activities can help and facilitate the work of others. In addition, it can also easily identify people and this will enhance your communication skills with the public.In this activity, we need divided 3 group and my group have 5 member which consists of Azryl,Syahmi,Hafizul,Aiman and I.We suggest to help our counselor Badri Hazlan.Our task takes 2 days.We helps our counselor to make UPU mind map for easier understand the step by step to sign in UPU online.Our mind map was successfully done and our counselor with our project.

First time I heard about google drive I don't care about it.But after I stay on this college , I know it more from English subject.Every activity in english project uses google drive and many uses in it.For example, making essay,mind map,powerpoint and resumes.From the activity I gain more knowledge in IT formation.Google drive making easier to someone making the work like it can fix it the wrong spelling.

Today, we are asked to write an essay about ‘traditional or online writing’. It’s the first time Madam Mas has given us a task where we have to complete it by using Google Drive. Honestly, this is the first experience I’ve completed a task online. My teachers in high school prefers us to hand in the task given to us by hand and not online. In my opinion, I love writing online. It makes everything easier. I could do my task anywhere I want without having to bring a book and pencil along with me. I’ve learn a lot about Google Drive and Google Docs since Madam Mas introduced it to us in class.
2. Fun Oral Group - FOG
We were divided into a few groups. My teammates are Yusreena and Batrisyia. We are asked to choose a topic from MUET Book and speak about it. It’s just like a pre-MUET Speaking Examination. Each person in the group takes turn to speak. Every group competes on who did the most rounds of speaking. To me, this activity is good as we got the chance to practice for MUET Speaking Examination and at the same time we could improve our speaking skills and increase our confidence.
3. Mind Map Online - MMO
We made a mind map regarding obesity after reading three articles about it. The mind map was done via Google Drive. Usually, I would do my mind map on a piece of paper so this is my first time to create a mind map via Google Drive. Honestly, it is very hard to make a mind map through Google Drive. It took me so long to complete the mind map. But on the other hand, I’ve learned how to create a mind map via Google Drive. Also, I’ve learned a lot of things about obesity that I didn't know previously.
4. Circle Map
We were divided into a few groups and discuss about the topic “Competition Triggers Our Mind” in our groups. We list down the advantages, disadvantage and our findings about ‘Competition’. Then, we wrote it down on sticky notes and paste them on a manila card. It’s a very fun activity as it is quite different than what we usually did in class.
5. Gallery Walk
The Gallery Walk is done based on the Circle Map that we did previously. The Circle Map that we did on manila card is then pasted on the walls so that all of us could take a look of what other groups had written and do a Gallery Walk. We learned a lot from them. We also add on some of our points to their manila card. The Gallery Walk is an interesting activity.
6. Tree Map
Madam instructed us to make a Tree Map based on the Gallery Walk that we have done. Just like the Mind Map Online (MMO), the Tree Map also takes a very long time to complete. It is very hard to create a Tree Map via Google Drive. It also takes a lot of time to complete this. Personally, I think it is much easier to make a Tree Map through Microsoft Word compared to Google Drive.
7. Hope Tree
We have wrote down our hopes of the week in a Hope Tree. I personally hope that I could improve both my English writing and speaking in the future. Also, I hope to excel in my upcoming MUET Examination, which will be held on 29th September (only a month away from now)! By writing our hopes down, I think we will be more serious in achieving our goals. It also makes us motivated to achieve it.
8. Community Service Project
On the 19th and 23rd November, my teammates and I organised a Charity Project at the Counseling Room at Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Kedah. We helped our counselor, Tuan Badri Hazlan to decorate the Counseling Room. The Charity Project has taught me a lot of new things. I’ve learned about the importance of teamwork, the importance of giving back to the society and ways to increase my self-confidence. To me, the whole process of the charity work is a learning process. Also, I hope to do more of charity work in the future. It’s a really fun experience.
9. Public Speaking
I can't remember if we exactly did a public speaking before, so I'm going to write about a presentation on stereotype instead. We have created a PowerPoint on stereotype and Madam Mas instructed us to present it to the rest of the class. It was our first presentation for English in Semester 1 so I was very very nervous. Since a little child, I've always hated to talk in front of a crowd. Even though we didn't really have a huge crowd and we only did it in front of our classmates, I was still nervous. But it is actually a really good activity. I could increase my confidence level and became even braver to talk in front of others. Also, this activity is one of the activities that help me in the MUET Speaking examination.
10. Application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
To be honest, I love doing my task through Google Drive and Google Classroom. It is really easy and convenient to use. Firstly, I could do my task wherever I am. Also, I could do a research for my task or search up the meaning of a word online easily. I just love it so much - only when Madam ask us to do essay online. Hahaha.. Because it's really hard to create a mind map or tree map through Google Drive, so I prefer to make it on paper.

My friends and I do some writing with our teacher but not by face to face. We supplied work through google drive and it makes it easier for us to write the essays at any time and everywhere we are. The topic that ma’am give us is ‘which one is better between writing traditionally or writing online’ and give an explanation. We also provided with knowledge to cope with MUET. We were divided into several groups according to their numeric rotation list in MUET. My other group’s members is Yusreena and Syazwani. Then, we need to elaborate the contents in the MUET book by rotation and should spend it within ten minutes only. So we have to compete with other groups. It makes me feel excited to compete in fact fear also closed in on myself because I'm not quite fluent in English. But as I remembered, I lost to Aiman’s group which could spend four rounds with four members of the group while my group just spent three rounds only. So far, I’m fun with my lesson session.

Gallery Walk is a classroom-based active learning strategy where we are encouraged to build on ours knowledge about a topic or content to promote higher-order thinking,interaction and cooperative learning. We are called by ma’am to fill the hope tree in her cubicle I have to put my hope as a student who learning English. So I put my hope to finish the English class on that day by fixing my past mistakes. It's very good because I can express my feelings and make me want to work harder to improve my English . Beside, I can read the hopes of others and half of them make me excited. I'm not reading the hopes of other people just to laugh at them but to inject my passion for being better. Help other lecturers through the tasks given by ma’am. My group helps counselors fix the counseling room and then we make a video of the pictures we get when doing the assignment. Then we were asked to present our charity project to classmates. Through this activity we are able to enhance knowledge as well as to help others and facilitate their business. In addition, my friends and I can collect marks for this assignment ;).

I love it when ma’am introduce this to us. At least we are changing from naive IT to smart IT. Beside, it easier for us to do our homework even we must to sacrifice our own data. Sob Sob ( Im crying here). HaHaHa but the way this application was teaches me about IT world. So it’s easy for me to further my study to the university because the university assignments are uses a lot of computers and displays for presentations. So thank you ma’am for teach us like this way.

I was absent during this presentation for following the team of Kedah Matrikulasi College sports in Selangor. But at other times we have also made a presentation on our charity project in a computer room with my classmates. I do not like it much when this activity is often made because I'm weak in English but sometimes it's good because we can create memories and save it as memory.

This is because it is difficult to do online mind map. I needed to make a lot of changes when doing it and it took me a long time to get it done. If I write my mind map in the book it will be more easier than doing online mind map. But after all that, i enjoyed doing the mind map.

Today, we are given the task by Madam Mastura. The task is writing essay about ‘writing traditionally or writing online?’. The purpose of this assignment is to improve our grammar and use our free time wisely. I love to use google drive. This is because I can do my task at everywhere even though i did not bring my book. But sometimes i feel lazy to do it because of the slow internet. I also do not like to write a long essay. But I know I can learn many things when I write the essay.
3.Fun Oral Group (FOG)
Fun oral group is one of our preparation for MUET test. We are divided into three groups. My group consists of syazwani and batrisyia. We need to practice to speak based on the topic in the MUET book. 2 minutes to find content and 2 minutes to talk. So, for one round it will be 10 minutes for each group. It is a good way to improve our confident to speak in front of other people but I was nervous even though I was just talking in front of my group which is my friend. After a lot of practice with my friend, i be more relaxed than first time I talked in front of them. But, after all the practices, I still don’t like to talk in front of other people.
4.Gallery Walk
After the FOG, we need to paste our mind map at the language lab. This is the best part. We can walk to see the others mind map. We can get more idea from others mind map. We can stole their content and paste it at our mind map. It is good to see the other mind map because we can learn more about the topics. It is really fun to learn this way rather than hear to the lecturer explanation. This way of learning can make us know more about our friend. I really enjoyed it.
5.Hope Tree
One day, we get message from madam to go to her placed and write our hope on hope tree for english classes. I think it's a good thing because at least I have a goal when I doing any task in english class. With the hope on the hope tree, I can know what I need to focus on to achieve my hope. It was a good start for me to improve my english. My hope on the hope tree is something that come from my heart. I know to achieve that, I need to give more effort though I know I'm a very lazy person to do my task or assignment. Therefore, I have to change to be a better person.

After the gallery walk activity, we were asked to prepare a tree map. We need to do the tree map in the google drive. It based on the circle map that we made before gallery walk activity started. My group finished the tree map at our dorm. Until now, I still do not know why we need to do this tree map but we have done our work to the end.

We are divided into 3 groups. Each group should discuss the contents after reading an article on competition and transfer the content to the circle mind map. This is one of the best activities for me. This is because we can discuss with our teammate and everybody giving an idea for setting up the circle mind map. We need to think, brainstorm and paste the idea on the manilla card. All work together and do the work that has been distributed. We all give our commitment when doing the work we all did it together with happily.
8.Public Speaking
This activity was held in the classroom to gain our confidence in our communication and also as the preparation of MUET test. This activity has made me prepared more to sit for MUET. I am so happy because I did my best for my oral examination with my group for last semester. Since I’m not really good in English, I am so grateful that I could practise a lot with my MUET group and my classmates before I enter the oral examination. With a lot of practice I feel more comfortable with them in the examination room.
9.Community Service Projects
During 19th and 23rd November 2018, my friends and I were helping Mr. Badri Hazlan Bin Badrol Hisham who is the counselor of Kedah Engineering Matriculation College with our Charity Work Project. The purpose of this charity work is to promote positive values of self-fulfilment and to provide opportunities for students to learn beyond the classroom. Everyone has different reasons for volunteering. For me, volunteering is important for numerous reasons that benefit both the community and the volunteer themselves. When someone donates a handful of time, the difference made is tremendous and it shapes a community for the better while the experience improves the person who donated the time. This is also called a learning process. These activity was really fun and interesting. I really enjoyed it.
10.The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
I love it when madam introduce the application of GC and GD to us. It was the new things for us. Beside, it be more easier and give a lot of advantages for us to do our homework even we must to sacrifice our own data. This definitely help us in the university because we need to do our assignment using the laptop and this application help us to keep our assignment safely without to save it in the pendrive. So, thank you madam because introduce us a good application to be use in the future.
LEARNING JOURNAL
Assalamualaikum.Today I would like to write a journal about my experiences that my friends and I have traveled throughout the English language classes at my college.We all enjoyed our English class with our beautiful lecturer that we called Madam Mas.She have created various activities to make our class interesting.
First of all,we do Mind Map Online(MMO).
MMO is one of the activities that we have learn and started to use Google Docs to make mind map.We were so excited because most of us have never done it before.At first,it was a little bit difficult,but Madam Mas guide us well so we can make it fast and better.Our first mind mapping is about ‘Obesity’.
Next,we were given task on essay online writing(EWO).In this task,our lecturer have created a Google Classroom for us,so our online work will be more organized.While doing the task,I can search an idea through the website about the essay that wrote.We also can read other essay of my classmates.
Madam Mas created a wonderful activity that can strength the bonding and break the ice among us.The activity called Fun Oral Group(FOG).In this activity,madam asked us to discuss about the topic given in group.Everyone in the group must give their opinion and we were encouraged to speak in English as preparation for MUET.
Then,we had ‘Hope Tree’ activity on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.The activity is about writing our hope or what we got through the English class.For me,I just happy because madam’s activity such an unexpected that give us a lot of moral value.I also hope that with the lesson in the class,we will be successful in the future.
On August 25, 2018,we were doing a discussion about ‘Competition Triggers Our Mind’.we were divided into group.We also given a manila card.With the manila card we all doing the Circle Map based on I-Think mind map format.After we were done doing the creative mind map,we were asked to pasted it on the wall and proceed with activity ‘Gallery Walk’ in the language lab.From that,we all can see how our classmates work in their team.It so impressive.
Okay!Let’s proceed to next activity that we were done in semester 1 which is ‘Tree Map’.This activity is the connection to our Gallery Walk and Circle Map.We must transferred all the data that we have collected from the preview activity into a tree map through Google Drive.It was so challenging because many work to do and it open our mind to know and create a variety of mind map.
Day by day,month by month,the ice that froze our relationship was melted.So,the crash it,Madam Mas bring us to an activity which is Public Speaking.We were so confused how to do it and madam said it was a presentation in front of our classmates.Everyone in the group must speak so that we built our confident.
Some of our classmates are a little bit shy,but when he speak he looks so confident.
At the beginning of semester 2, we started our English classes by doing Charity Work.All English lecturer has decided that all classes have to complete this task. We are very fun when given this task because we never do charity work to the staff college before. Our class decided to help the Counselor us with tidy up and decorate his room. From there, various values can be nurtured like a cooperative, supportive and others. We also are required to make videos, presentations and essays about the project.It was so fun even though a little bit tired.
Overall,our madam widely use the application of GC and GD in ESL classroom.I think it was very good in order to guide us through the 2020 era.It also very useful to us because we can browse to internet in order to get new information.
JOURNAL
1.Mind Map Online (MMO)
It was our first activity by using Google Docs with the guide of Madam Mas. We were asked to create mind map online. At first, it was kinda hard as I was not used to the Google Docs yet. But, as the time went by, I was getting used to it and I realised that creating a mind map online by using Google Docs is way easier than on a paper.
2.Essay Writing Online(EWO)
At this moment, we had an discussion in the class whether we preferred writing traditionally which means by writing on a paper or writing essay online by using Google Drive. And at that time too, we were introduced to the usage of Google Drive. Of course there are pros and cons of both writing on a paper and writing online by using Google Docs. But for me, i prefered and still prefer to write an essay by using Google Drive as it ease me to do my work efficiently. For example, I could write an essay on the go just by using my phone. If compared to writing an essay on a paper, you can’t continue to do your work anywhere as you need to find somewhere comfortable for you to do your work. As I was introduced to the usage of Google Drive by Madam Mas, I made sure to take full advantage the benefits of Google Docs as by using my smartphone so that I can finish my task and work without worrying about exhaustion to find suitable place for me to do my essay.
3.Fun Oral Group (FOG)
It was an activity suggested by Madam Mas in order to break the ice between us and also strengthen our bond. I was feeling nervous and awkward when I was asked to speak English with my friends. But, I calmed myself and I managed to speak confidently with my friends regarding a topic that was given to us by Madam Mas to discuss.
4.Gallery Walk
My friends and I were given a task by Madam Mas to paste our circle maps on the wall of the Language Lab and we were asked to walk around the Language Lab so that we can take a look at the other circle maps that my friends created. We were also have sticky notes and pens with us while walking around as Madam Mas instructed us to do so. It is because we can share opinions and even add more ideas regarding the topic of the circle map. Through this activity, my friends and I can learn a lot of things as we shared opinions and ideas of the topic.
5.Hope Tree
I was able to share to Madam and also my friends on my hope by writing them on a sticky paper and paste it. It was a very good experience as I managed on deciding on my objective of attending Madam Mas class. I’m not really sure on what I wrote but I think it’s related to speak English confidently. When I entered secondary school, I didn’t have the courage to speak English confidently. But as the time went by, I started to make friends regardless of races and from there, I started to build confidence to speak English on daily basis with my friends as they were also supportive by encouraging me and also correct me on my mistakes. But when I entered Form 4, I separated with my lower form friends as they took science stream and I took engineering drawing class. When I first entered the class, there were less English speakers and my English speaking skills were left unused. Therefore, I had lost confidence on my speaking skills especially during presentation as I don’t speak English as often as before. But, when I enrolled in this college, Madam Mas was very supportive especially when preparing for MUET and from all of the activities that we did together, I’ve gained back some of my confidence to speak English without being nervous or scared especially during a presentation.
6.Tree Map
We were given task to make a tree map by using sticky notes and manilla cards. After that, we were asked to transfer our tree map into the Google Docs online. It was an experience to indirectly compare between traditional and modern method. When we were doing the tree map by using sticky notes and paste it on the manilla cards, it was kinda uncomfortable because we had to make sure that the place that we’re gonna put the manilla card was clean. Besides that, we were also having a hard time to carry it around and make sure it is in a good condition. In my opinion, creating the tree map by using Google Docs is much more easier as we can edit the tree map online even by using 2 different computers. The task was easier when doing it online compared to manual method of creating the tree map.
7.Circle Maps
We were given task to create a circle map by using sticky notes and paste it on a manilla card. Madam Mas instructed us to do a circle map about “ Competition Triggers Our Mind “. Before doing it, me and my friends sat in a group and had a brainstorming session by discussing about the topic given. After we had done the discussion, we write each of the points that we discussed on a piece of sticky notes and paste it on a manilla card. We also decorated to make it nicer and easy to read by everyone. From this activity, students are encouraged to have a discussion and learn to give and take opinion from the others. On top of that, students can also show their creativity in making the circle map.
8.Public Speaking
This activity was held by Madam Mas in order to prepare me and my friends for the upcoming MUET as preparation for us so that we won’t be nervous during the examination and also to boost our confidence.
9.Community Service Projects
To be honest, I wasn’t very glad at first when I heard that I’ll be doing this charity work project at first because the first thing that came to my mind was it’s gonna be an exhausting experience for me. Then, I just continue to proceed with the planning of the charity work project but still I don’t feel excited to do this. But, when my team members finished up the cleaning the hostel cafe, I felt exhausted but when the cafe workers came to us with a broad smile on their face while bringing drinks for us. They were very happy at that time and then I felt happy and I smiled too as I managed to help somebody by lighten their burden.
10.The application of GC and GD in ESL classroom
In my opinion, the usage of GC and GD in ESL classroom is very useful and it’a win-win situation between the students and also lecturers. I as a student can gains benefit from it as I can do my work by using my smartphone and it’s very easy to use as I can do my work on the go.
