We have completed our T&L for semester 1 2020/2021. Congratulations to everyone. Alhamdulillah, during this Covid19 pandemic session, we have been using Google Classroom and Google Meet for our online classes.
Now, I would like to invite all of you to share with our viewers out there how these two tools have given motivational impacts to all of you. Maybe you can share how being involved in the online activities using Google Classroom and Google Meet have changed your perceptions toward using the Google tools in your life or maybe how Meet has been able to encourage you to speak better in public. We would like to hear how these two tools have influenced your ways of life and your learning experience.

I would love to share my views on this teaching method.. In my experience as an exchange student in America these Google services (ie.Google classroom and Google docs) or as we call it the 'G suite' has been fully intergrated into most of the American schools as a method of handing out and turning in homework and assignments. I was happy when I heard that the same system was being intergrated into madam Mas' teaching class. It is no doubt a very practical and user friendly system with a plethora of benefits and facilities. It is a great platform to further connect and communicate between students and teachers from my experience as it is an easy way for teachers to personally guide students through private messaging and video meetings via Google meet. I had the opportunity to share the various facilities I have learnt to utilise using the Gsuite to my classmates. It also enabled me to communicate and do group assignments during quarantine. We were capable of meeting face to face via video confrencing and work on the same document online via Google Docs. The Google Classroom paved the way to progress my english skills despite being uncapable of meeting my friends and lecturers in person. My final remark would be how motivated I became using new technologies in education and having the opportunity to "try something new" rather than following the outdated system of pen and paper if you get what I mean.. :)
To be honest, this was my first experience on using Google Classroom and Google Meet. I would like to share my experience after carrying out online classes nearly half of the semester. Of course,a student will face a lot of problems if he never use these Google services before. However, he will get familiar with the services after using them many times. Same case happened on me. Fortunately, I managed to submit my task to my lecturer before the due date, if there is anything I don't know how to do such as submitting task and leaving comments on groupmate's essay, I will refer lecturer to get some assistance. Let's move on to Google Meet, it also tested our listening skills when your classmate is presenting something. You must listen attentively so that you will be able to receive his message. It's quite fun using these Google Services. We should try something different not only focusing on the manual way of doing task and submitting your work to lecturer.
Thank you for your teachings on Semester I madam. Now I would gladly share my views on the tools used in online teaching.
First is about Google meet. I knew about this tool before, but I believe I have never used it until I enter Matriculation College. For starters, Google meet is a free online meeting software that people uses to meet online. As a free software, there's nothing much we can complain about it. The only thing that I find not so great in it is the limit in number of students allowed to join. The software is very limited for big gatherings or public meetings that garners a lot of people.
For Google classroom, this is definitely a first-heard-of to me. But the software is friendly enough to let me understand how to work around it, and finally started to use it to complete works with classmates. The option to edit online with classmates is such a beautiful addition to this software, not just a drive to upload files to be read. Recommended for all ages, literally!
Hello madam, first of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for teaching me English throughout the 1st semester. As I see it, Google Meet and Google Classroom have been proven to be very effective in making sure that education can still be running even with a pandemic going around in the world. Google Meet had helped me with not only continuing my classes but also allowed me to communicate easily with my fellow classmates and also friends that live across states. It's efficient for everyone to use since all of us have access to it. Google Classroom is also one of my favourites because it gives me notifications when there's a new task or even when I'm approaching a deadline thus it helps me avoid handing in a task late. Other Google applications, such as Google Docs are also pleasant and convenient because it allows us to carry out group assignments easily since it gives us access to comment on other's work directly and also let us edit the document in real-life timing. The comment tool on Google Docs also allowed me to help my group members with their English and vice versa. The usage of GC and GM as I've come to realise at the end of semester 1 is that it actually motivates me to do my best with the assignments given and also to submit it before the deadline because all of the work such as writing down our essays or even submitting answers are simplified and thus we don't have to worry about having to find paper and pens to complete our works. All in all, I'm really grateful that applications such as Google Meet, Google Classroom and so many other more are being benefited during this pandemic, and I sure hope that when things get better, we'll still be able to implement all of this in our way of learning and teaching into our day to day life since even big companies are using it to carry out their work from home condition.
I would say that Online class is a useful way of studying in this covid-19 pandemic. This minimizes the risk and chances of contacting the virus. Google Meet is quite useful for online class. It has good visuals and good audio which improves the efficiency of online classes. Google classroom is another place to do our homework and submit assignments. Google classroom for me is not very useful as it always have technical errors. For me I prefer individual works because the time is more flexible because I can do it whenever I am free but not for group tasks. I personally do not think that online classes is a long term solution because it also has a handful of disadvantages. I always lose focus in online classes. It is hard to concentrate on online. classes. So I would still pick face to face classes if the pandemic is not very serious. But of course, the comfortability of home would cancel out this disadvantage of online studying.
In addition, being able to communicate online and making it easier to do english exercises really motivate me to get on my feet and put in more effort on improving my english in general. The capability to practice english through speaking tests online makes me more competitive to improve my english when we are required to do group discussion and various other fun speaking activities. The casual atmosphere I get from online meetings and discussions really puts me at ease when speaking english. I feel less shy and more confident to speak and communicate in english with my friends. The online presence acts as an alter ego that gives a confidence boost to speak out and say what ever you want to say no matter your proficiency in english.I'd say that what I am sharing here and speaking out here is a result of these online classrooms and utilities which gave me confidence and the opportunity to speak my mind..
Assalamualaikum everyone.In my opinion,learning using the google classroom make our work easier because me and my friend will cooperate together when finishing the task given by madam.The one thing I like about online learning is how convenient it is. I can keep learning as long as I have a device with me. However, I still prefer learning at school, as I feel I learn better in a classroom setting and that face-to-face lessons are more effective.But,i will feel a little nervous during face to face class.
Hello madam,from my view google classroom and google meet is a good platform to learn via online.This is because google classroom is specifically design for students and teachers.There are a lot features to help students to carry out their works .The lecturers and teachers also can use both of that applications easily because its are user friendly.However ,there are some problems .Students maybe not focus during class and students also will not understand the lesson .The Internet problem also is huge problem.Students face data limit and line glitch as problems.So the ministry of education must take best steps to overcime this kind of problems such as giving free Internet for students from specific server.
